  • what a poor soul. i know the feeling when you are so lost for words when you sing a song and mess up.

  • Did she just say "I'll knit a letter while you write a sweater"? Because I hope she did.

  • Aww, bless her! She covered it well.

  • I act in live theater.....it's extremely difficult. If you screw up, nobody yells cut. You have to be able to work your way out of it.

  • @Velociactor - Cursing at a ten year old -- that's appropriate. I would have agreed with what you were saying but you were so friggin rude about it. She obviously just doesn't understand the pressure of being on Broadway especially during previews.

  • Consummate pro Angela Lansbury, which it is no wonder Hal & Stephen gave this wonderful role to her and which she has given to us, her audience.

  • Fantastic! I love Angela "Lalalalala" hehe! I wish I could understand what they are saying during the spoken parts...

  • @TaurusGirl423 same but it is still funny as hell LOL

  • wow, this recording is older than me.

  • Still love her. She totally pulled it off.

  • not only that..but if this is a preview...there were probably lyric changings here and there before the show opened...

  • The dress she's wearing in the pictures pretty cute I think... Wonder why they didn't keep it for this scene, (Changed later to a pink and lacey night gown) cause I think it fit well with the upbeatness of the number...

  • Poor Angie. But she gets away going with 'La La La' xD

  • Is it George Hern or Lou Cariou?

  • Len Cariou.

  • You should go straight to Broadway!

  • it's different when you have never seen the show before up until a few months prior (she is the original Mrs. lovett) and you are on stage. trust me as an actress, you may now everyline before you get on stage, but you would be surprised how maney times you blank when curtian goes up. plus, the lines go by very fast and sound the same. It's an easy mistake!

  • @katayatiger Well good for you! Now you try going on stage for 8 shows a week with a live audience of hundreds and hundreds of people. Then let me know how hard it is to remember those lines with all that pressure. :) Until then shut your mouth and watch something age appropriate. Like Hannah Montana or some other Disney shit.

  • @Velociactor

Excuse me... Disney "shit"? Did I read this right? Of course, all that new stuff like Hannah Montana is kind of dumb yes, but WALT Disney stuff like "Pinocchio" or "Snow White"= NOT "shit". I don't want to start a fight however, so I AM going to say that I second your comment about live theater productions being more difficult. Its nothing but the truth. I would know. I experienced it in front of about fifty people at the local Playhouse once myself.

  • @CosplayCore Lol by Disney shit I meant the modern shows. The classic movies we all grew up with are quality without a doubt!

  • i feel for her. i played this part as well and there are soo many words you are bound to mess up occasionally!

  • Sondheim definitely isn't easy. Neither is live theater. ;-)

  • aww poor thing:(

    haha...thats ironic.^^^

  • we did this as our senior musical this year and i messed up this song and had to make it up.. i felt terrible!

  • i couldn't really get it, where did she mess up?

  • @ avenueyay

    at 2:00, the "La la's"

  • Haha! Aww. I feel bad for her. Go Angela! What did Len say! Very hard song to remember. Trust. Me.

  • Me too!

  • Wel this is a very hard song so i dont blame her

  • ya but she is great anyway
