Another great performance! So beautiful and mesmerizing! Spanish classical music will continue to inspire and enchant: I'm Puerto Rican and get so giddy with this music. It makes me feel connected with the family back on the island.
@Plumeen You seem to know a shit load about music! He is just playing the song with his own little twist and thats not ruining the song as you called it! Show me how you think this shuold be played?
@Krinordh the guy took out all the feeling. Its a beautiful song, should be played slower with feeling. This guy clearly thinks the faster it is played, the better.
@Kingtunice yeah I totally agree with you! But if you want to criticizes some one you don't need to be a douchbag! If he had presented his opnion in a pleasent way I wouldnt care ;)

over 20 years of wanting to learn how to play and after watching this video it made me get off my lazy butt and go buy one. too bad i still suck but hey one step at a time.
@CabronDioz I am LOL when people say shit like you have to be Latino to be good at salsa dancing or playing latino music. Are you really closed minded enough to believe that?
@CabronDioz Yes, and it has NOTHING to do with being Latino or not. Whether you are white, black, asian or latino, you can put great feeling into any music you play. And I'm not offended man LOL. I could never be offended by a comment that makes no sense.
re: "Top Comment" by LaComuna1917. You heard that story or read it, so you are repeating it. True, many could not read music, but that does not mean the music simply flowed miraculously from their "heart and feelings." They had to learn to play the guitar first, even if they didn't learn to read music. And as to the music itself, they absorbed and assimilated it from hearing it all around them. That's the "folk process." What you repeated is romantic myth.
to the people bitching and moaning about John playing it differently: Let's see you do better. This man, took valuable time out of his life to entertain us, and you repay him by bashing him? Can you get any lower than that? At least respond to the video with you yourself doing better!
To John: Great job! I heard the original and i actually prefer yours over it, both are very beautiful pieces and you do a great job interpreting it! Again, great job John!
my dad orianates form Costa Rica and i used to live there till i was about 7 then we moved to the US it reminds me of home and school we had to were tridinal outfits to school and we 'd be walking to school and when we left it be playing and the most it reminds me of is the partys we'd go to i'd dance and dance till my feet were sore i miss home !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@atezai Even from his face expressions you can see there IS feelings playing it. The way he plays with the tempo up and down has feelings. And for YOUR information this is Romanza Flamenco recomposed by Juan Serrano. It is NOT the classic Romanza. Even he plays the finishing parts of Part 1 and Part 2 TECHNICALLY wrong, still sounds amazing. If that's how he feels it, then you have no right to say the opposite...
Many famous guitar players from Spain (considered to be best acoustic players in the world) never studied Music, however they perform so well right from their heart and feelings because they have the guitar feelings in their blood. A melody doesn't that to be played exactly as the written "partitura". There is something known as *improvisación* where the player during his performing introduces *variants* and, that right there, what makes a guitar performer even better.
@LaComuna1917 You don't need to study music to make it. A child can do it. But you claiming this is from Spain because "improvisation" is in their blood makes you seem very small minded. A child from spain or a child from Africa could have written this. Or a man or woman from anywhere.
@LaComuna1917 No one learns music everyone is born with it in his body you just need to be guided into it alone you will be casted into oblivion by the sheer magnitude of MUSIC.
@LaComuna1917 It's true many great musicians have never studied music, but studying music doesn't make the performance better. People who haven't studied music most likely have spent a lot of time practicing music, and have most of the knowledge already anyway.
Love this song. LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I am hooked on your playing John. I listen to you every evening late at night and the world seems to drift away. What a great way to end the day.

Every song has different emotions expressed to the person who is playing them. Not ever musician plays songs the same way. I think this was his interpretation, and there is no need to judge him for it. I like this version, as well as the slow version.
Somehow people mistake "playing it slower" for "putting feeling in it". According to these people B.B. King is... Well, king. But even at his slow tempo he makes mistakes.
Although it doesn't quite suit the song (I agree that it should be played slower but for a different reason), you play it superbly.
You rock.... And don´t listen to the comment below, he´s just jealous... When i hear your version i think that is the best i´ve ever heard... @musicislifefershur told that is lack of intensity felling or passion... but it think that you expressed feeling and passion better than anyone!
this is amazing <3

Somehow people mistake "playing it slower" for "putting feeling in it". According to these people B.B. King is... Well, king. But even at his slow tempo he makes mistakes.
Although it doesn't quite suit the song (I agree that it should be played slower but for a different reason), you play it superbly.

You rock.... And don´t listen to the comment below, he´s just jealous... When i hear your version i think that is the best i´ve ever heard... @musicislifefershur told that is lack of intensity felling or passion... but it think that you expressed feeling and passion better than anyone!
