I already left you a comment on one of your other videos, the singer is excellent! If you allow me to make a suggestion, your band is missing the original Vox sound, I would do whatever it takes to procure one, as this is the signature doors sound, I would pay money to watch you guys play, any time, any day!
Thanks for the comments, As for the original Vox sound I have done a gig with The American Night, in Seattle and low and behold they had all the original toys, It just didn't have the "balls." The music sounded weaker than using the newer toys. However our Key man is looking at some newer sounds to fit the bill.
The keyboardist loses my respect.. a bass player? WTF? The keyboardist is playin with one hand the whole time.. what kinda cop out bullshit is that? And why do so many tribute acts use the same horribly wrong sound? Even Ray himself uses that cheesy sound now. Its like SORTA mildy resembling of a Vox Continental's retarded coustin that got drunk inside a leslie speaker. Seriously.. how hard it is to get a hold of accurate keyboard samples? My $100 casio has a better Vox sound.
Very good, Im just getting a doors tribute band together, im going to be playing this in the next jam night this coming friday. Try losing the bass guitarist and getting your organist to play left hand bass on a rhodes bass piano, It gave the doors their unique sound! keep up the good work
Pete: You need to get a hold of Ray Manzarek and hit the road with the Doors! NO JOKE!
