I love this concerto -- let me plug Michael Ponti's recording (you can get it on emusic, probably on rhapsody too), which captures the swell, drive, passion and emotion of this concerto perfectly. Better than this one, I think, and certainly better the Scherbakov's. Like most of Medtner, this concerto takes time to fall in love with -- give it a bunch of listens -- it's worth it.

A magical and revelatory recording. Medtner played his music with more feeling than anyone else.

I was playing this one...It has Korsakov motivs, Rachmaninov, Shuman and many other composers in it...Love it!!!
