  • Mostra o caralho do painel dessa porra aê!!!

  • you were sitting in seat 2A right? i was sitting in 2A when i flew to dillingham on a Bering Air Charter.

  • beech 1900 a good plane :D very good STOL's and very useful for flying in alaska.

  • at 1:10 the landing gear goes up (whirring noise)

  • @vftdhys

    indeed it does.

  • you are lucky to have survived a flight on this airline.....gulfstream is ab out as bad as it gets.

    get life insurance next time....

  • @beergut111

    lol!

  • @beergut111 The Beechcraft 1900D is an excellent aircraft. Safe and dependable. Their are more 1900D commuter flying all over this world then the next 3combine. They are a little noisy be safe. So before you make a statement like that, research your facts. There are way too many so called 'experts' on you tube.

  • @CaptainArt777 well i am an expert. My first type rating was in a DC7....if you would read what i wrote I didnt say anything about the airplane.

you're right about all the experts

  • @beergut111

Yeah I know what you mean about the issues with GIA... especially regarding their training programs.

  • @beergut111 *rolls eyes*....

  • @beergut111 This isn`t a gulfstream it`s a Beechcraft.

  • @MrCars you aren't very bright are you? Gulfstream is the name of airline.

  • @beergut111 Actually this is continental connection the regional division of Contiental Airlines. And don`t say I`m not bright. I am an airline pilot, I`m also human and imperfect just like you.

  • @MrCars airline pilot?.....riiiiiight. You dont understand what continental connection really is.

go do some research and get back to me.

My first type rating was in a 727.....you should just listen to me kid.

  • @beergut111 Listeeennn, I know that Gulfstream uses the CO aircraft. I just thought you were refferring to the aircraft manufacturer. I wasn`t aware about Gulfstream Airlines. My mistake :p We`re all intitled to make errors aren`t we? And I'm not a kid, kid's don't have type ratings on A330's.

  • @MrCars lol@a330 right.....

  • @beergut111 I guess that`s sooo hard to believe right? Your the only one who's allowed to have a type rating? Anyway, some professional expert pilot you are, commenting about how an airline is so dangerous and making jokes about crashing. A real pilot wouldn't say something as stupid as that. Don't even bother answering this I've wasted enough time with you.

  • @MrCars ok.....who do you fly 330's for?

  • @beergut111 lol and you answer, well whatever, I fly for Air Transat, a canadian vacation airline. Operating the -200 and -300. I've been with the airline since April and couldn't be happier. I use to fly Beechcraft aircraft for a smaller airline after flight school then moved on to the CRJ-705 at Air Canada Jazz.

  • @MrCars they dont glide very well do they?lol

  • @beergut111 LOLL Hey, our aircraft back in `01 did eventually land even if it did blow all the tires out. That captain is still flying A330`s and even made a movie on that event. But yeah it`s a great job. What about you, did you fly the 727 commercially?

  • @MrCars yes, i started out at mohawk and finished with northwest on the 747. flew fractional for a few years for something to do.

  • @beergut111 This guy is lying his ass off. On page 3 he says his first type rating was a DC-7 and then on the next page he says his first type rating was a 727. Nice try but get your lies straight next time

  • @HaloFan9795 it was a typo

  • @beergut111 How exactly does one misspell 727 as DC-6? Also if you really are legit mind showing a little proof?

  • @HaloFan9795 what would you like to know?

  • @beergut111

so you guys were arguing or something here? lol :)

  • @DrewD5400 yeah weird, now he wants to come over and mow my lawn

  • @beergut111 neat.

  • Hi Drew5400,

I live in NYC. That puts me in LGA, JFK. EWR departure points. I haven't seen the Beech on the JFK or LGA approaches, so I believe EWR might be the starting point. My idea is to do a destination with multiple stops and returning the same or next day. Any suggestions would be appreciated- As an airliner artist, the 1900 will be the next subject on my list to profile.

You can check out my work at:

    Thanks,

    Herb Greenwood

  • @hotelgulf

Hey Herb, I'll look around and email you directly with my findings.

    Regards,

    Drew

  • The more I study the 1900, the more I can appreciate this mini-airliner. After seeing lots of footage of the ERA Alaska AC on Discovery, the true elegance of the design and operation comes into focus. I hope to catch a ride someday out here on the East Coast! :)

  • @hotelgulf

great comment, I agree with you on that! I would definitely recommend making a point of it to get on one. Where about on the East Coast are you, that will be the best way for me to recommend an operator/route close to you. Most likely your best bet is going to be CO Connection (gulfstream international airlines).

  • I have always like the Beechcraft 1900D i see them all of the time in Central Mountain Air's colors, TurboProps sound really cool! and very powerful too they pack a punch

  • does htis beachcraft have flight attendances???

  • @nissancubepartyplay

no, I believe per FAA regulations, you don't need one for a/c with less than 20 pax.

  • @DrewD5400 so no inflight snack? waaaaaaaa! that stinks

  • what's the best seat in the house?

  • @jfsa380

Any seat it great as they are all window/aisle. I always enjoy being near the prop.

  • i worked on this plane and you should b in it when we pressurize on the ground not fun

  • @diehlben

does that happen when someone connects the PCA without opening any doors or vent panels? I work ramp for Eagle, how about you?

  • I sure don't miss working on those ue's

  • did this beechcraft have a seat in the center on the back row?

  • @knight1982ala

sure did! I believe on some models that don't have the middle seat, there is a lav there?

  • I use a Saab 340 to connect to Memphis and it is horrible. The vibration and noise are awful on it. Is the Beech any different?

  • @ScottyJohnC

Haha- the Saab's are smoother than the Beech's (they are larger and often newer). Sorry you didn't enjoy your trip!

  • @DrewD5400 I'll have to try earplugs next time.

  • @ScottyJohnC

    lol- music to MY ears....

  • @DrewD5400 Wrong! The Beech is a lot smoother. Also, the Saab hasn't been in production for decades. Only the real old ones are still flying. The Beech 1900D are brand new. I am talking about the Saab 340.

  • @CaptainArt777

I stand corrected on the issue of age, you are correct. With regards to size, the SF3 is larger, and still in my experience, smoother/more stable feeling than the BE1; however, that is merely up to the individual and the flight conditions.

  • Beechcrafts are dodgy! :D

  • @Lvieru96

    Dodgy?

  • If one of the perpellers gets loose, your the first one to die.

  • @bluepanther1011

    This is true....

  • LOL HAHAHAH :)

  • The dash 8 q400 SUCKS

  • @Airlineman4590

    a bit random there?

  • @Airlineman4590 The Dash 8 is my favorite plane.

  • u have to love the sound of the props on this aircraft its just like the dash 8

  • indeed!

  • Gotta love those P&W PT-6's, never quit!

  • ain't it the truth!

  • Thanks for your upload. I use to fly GIA before I moved on.

    Cheers!

    Michael

  • I think I've flown Gulfstream to KEYW.

  • I fly on this plane and airline everytime I go to Treasure Cay Bahamas

  • Is that very often? I wish I had to opportunity to fly with GIA more often, especially considering the excellent vacation destinations that they serve.

  • Every Christmas

  • haah- I'm jealous!

  • What is the protocol for making a turn after takeoff? I understand at DCA you need to turn to avoid the monuments. It seemed like an early turn.

  • Yeah- my best guess in this scenario is it would be to get out of the way of faster jet traffic waiting to take off. If you hold that straight line- (and you're the slow Beech) you're gonna get run up on by the faster jet rather quickly. DCA is another story- I would agree that they need to turn due to sensitive landmarks. Of course- protocol will vary from airport to airport. I do recall that quick turn was a bit nerve racking though. (So close to the ground and all.)

  • Beutiful view on the cockpit !

  • hahaha- I know- they closed that door- I recall before certain 2001 events hearing about the wonderful views of landing people in the first few rows could have.

  • As a beech 1900 pilot i have to say the 1900 is one of the most reliable aircraft I've ever flown compared to other commuter aircraft

  • who do you fly for? For sure, they have been the workhorse for many regional carriers over the past decades.

  • Yes, I have seen the half hour Air Disaster "Dead weight" video about US Airways Express/Air Midwest 5481, and the crash that happened shortly after takeoff from CLT en route to GSP. I live in CLT, so I have had the opportunity to visit the crash site/memorial on many occasions. I was a bit weary of getting on the B1900D due to my knowledge of the CLT crash- but I did it anyways- I'm alive, and it was worth it! :-) Thanks for watching, and for the comment!

  • Cool video man :)! Have you seen a YouTube video of US Airways Express Flight 5481? This was the same type of aircraft that crashed shortly after takeoff.

  • Sweet back in the day you could pay them for a job!! haha

  • lol- it was only like a year ago.... has their company gone down hill or something?

  • they still around I was on a flight from mia to tpa. good view had the cockpit door open. flew thru a thunderstorm kinda interesting what they do in there.

  • haha- I'm jealous!! I want to try to get back on one again eventually. The current economic situation does not allow much extracurricular flying for me- just what's absolutely necessary.... hopefully GIA will still be there when this thing finally ends. I saw they have cut back on a few route frequencies since I flew them back in 08.

  • read between the line and times...Gulfstream International had 402's, B99's, D-7's,1900 B, C and D models and E120's. They'll get something when the cost is right.....economics.

  • they're is a rumor about gulfstream getting new planes

  • Is that so? What type have you heard?? Thanks for the update!

  • Some one said that they might get some older Q200 or Q300. I also heard that they might get some old E-135s from the desert. They can expand to georgia, texas, gulfport and maybe some carribean/south american countries.

Alot of airlines got rid of the E-135s because the 140/145s can hold more people and still burn the same amount of fuel as the smaller capacity 135s.

  • I havent heard anything, but that would be cool. Maybe Dash8s or Saabs, I would imagine it would be turbo-prop.

  • Sorry about the bad grammar

    "There are rumors"

  • haha- I hadn't noticed that... :) I like the E135's- they're a good time- just not as fun as the Beech. Do you think the Beech would stick around or not? Perhaps they would sell them at a good price- I'd love to buy one and make it my house!!! LMAO!! :)

  • probably keep some of the 1900s because some of the smaller bahamians airports can't handle jet airliners I think. I know 4 outa 9 bahamas airports that they service has a run way that less than a mile.

  • Yeah- no jets for them- that's for sure!

  • lovely!

  • thanks!!

  • 1900s clearly aren't known for their spectacular climb, that's for sure. Looks like it rotated about half way down the runway and by the time it reached the end still was barely off the ground.

  • They really aren't, as I would discover on my own rather quickly- and as someone flying on the one-niner-hundred for the first time- it was quite interesting, to say the very least. At times I recalled the events of the Air Midwest 1900 going nose up in CLT back in Jan. 2004, and thinking to myself that I'd rather take a nice, conservative climb, rather than a crazy 90 degree nose up and stall!! Thanks for the view and comment!

  • Quite loud. The mic does a good job of picking up the noise- and the vibrating noise at the beginning of the takeoff roll was not the lens cap/camera on the window, it was defiantly something in the plane.

  • How loud was it in the cabin?

  • there pretty loud but its not to bad

  • Wow- Tampa- bet that's a nice, warm place to work! If your thinking about flight lessons- have you heard of Gulfstream academy? Apparently US$29,900, and 7 months gets you 522 hours of training to become a FO on the 1900, including 250 hours of flying time in the 1900 right seat. Something to consider- and I read that after obtaining certification with them, you do not have to become a trainer like so many other companies require.

  • I think they had between 7-12 of them. I used to fuel them and they we're a pain in the ass. They were out of gulfstream service in aug.

  • Hah- yeah I've talked to people that have said that about them before. What was the issue for you?

Yeah- I think I read something about them being grounded due to fuel prices in Aug... is that when they were sold off as well?

  • well the last ones were just sold eariler this month. Also they gave back a few 1900s back to hawker beechcraft company.

  • Wow- I hope they aren't in any financial trouble- oh wait- they're an airline, so the best one can hope for is that they're not too deep in financial trouble- I would think being a smaller airline and having that strong alliance with CO would simplify their finances quite a bit. Do you have any idea if they are in a hiring freeze or if anyone is getting laid off? I am considering applying for a FO position on the beech in mid 2010 when the experts say the economy will balance out again.

  • I don't think they're in trouble but they are in a hiring freeze, but a few people are in furlong. I am thinking about taking flight lessons. I still fuel those planes in TPA.

  • Never have been on that one... I imagine its pretty close to an ERJ135 with props?! Or perhaps closer to a Saab340 (both of which I've been on). I was actually scheduled to be on an E120 on the trip that I took this vid of the beech, but Gulfstream International Airlines has temporarily grounded their Brasilia fleet due to high fuel costs.

  • Gulfstream no long operates the Brasilia due to fuel and maintance cost. They sold them to a russian regional airline

  • I love that airplane, I also have a soft spot for all the other turboprops.

  • Same here!! I'd take a prop flight over a regional jet any day hands down! I really love how you can see the exhaust pipe on the side of the engine, and most of the time the paint directly behind the pipe is black!! ;)

  • Yeah my favorite is the Embraer 120 Brasilia.

  • how long is the flight from MCO to MIA?

  • 1hr10mn

  • are the seats leather or cloth

  • leather :)
