The text is not easy to render in English because Arkanov, who is the writer, makes use of mixture of styles.

For example:

(note that "love" and "carrot" perfectly rhyme in Russian)

It's "ochi" = "eyes" in older version of Russian language. I didn't hear them say "okna"... maybe I'm wrong.. it's awesome either way. :D

It is based on a little poem for children.

"one, two, three, four, five, the little rabbit went for a walk. The hunter came suddenly and shote straightly to the rabbit. Pif-paf (sound of the gun), oi-oi-oi, my little rabbit is dying. We brought him home and it turned out that he is alive."

This is a rough translation of the poem. In the cartoon they added some lines. Hunter says: "sir, you ate my carrot", rabbit says: "i didn't do it". :)
