  • I dont get it ppl accuse me of being gay..bt i am not ,.....can any 1 explain ..why is this happening ..I mean I like look at beautiful ppl ...man or women ..but that doesnt mean i am gay ..I dont have the slightest feelings for males.....while I hav fallen in love with many women

  • @paulthecoolest Why are you commenting this on a scientific video about twins

  • @Deidaragirl9 lol good question ...I guess I just wanted an answer and a place to epress myself

  • no one is this world.. in this univers!! has the same DNA.. we r all uniqe in our own way..

  • my nephews are true identical, so every single strand of DNA does match up, there are only 6 sets in the ENTIRE world :D They are apart of massive twin studies

  • that is fuckin insane!!

i want to have a twin!!!!!!

  • I bet the same will go for clones too...

  • One twin could have damaged some of their DNA or actually be identical fraternal

  • This video fails at one thing.

We accumulate mutations during our life, not just at conception.

  • Question: is it true that everyone has a twin. That is some one else in the world that looks exactly like you or me, so to speak.?

  • nope

  • You are thinking of doppelgänger and lookalikes. This is where two people who are not related in any way just happen (by chance) to look slightly similar, Stalin had many lookalikes to pose for him at public events.

It is entirely superficial and never that convincing not to mention very rare. I think the FBI once calculated that the chance of any two non-related individuals to be genetically identical was something like 100 billion-trillion to 1.

  • why would you think that?

  • Another loss for the "nurture" side...

  • well, this is the first that i've heard of this. i will have to tell my twin this info!

  • ummm... March 2008 recent enough for you? check American Journal of Human Genetics, 82, p. 763-771

  • I'm pretty damn sure that I didn't read about it this month. It was more like 3 years ago.

  • it's one thing to postulate it (3 years ago) but it is another thing to finally write a paper about it publishing all your research for peer review. I can postulate that cheese causes cancer but is kind of irrelevant till I have researched it and published my findings.

It's not the idea but the proof that matters.

  • cool!!!! i'm a twin :)

  • The genetic differences between identical twins could not be great enough to cause for drastic differences in their characteristics. There might be a small amount of mutation, but differenes in personalities are still more logically due to environmental and sociological pressures.
