Honestly, sounds ok. Not great. I think the Shinee cover of Mirotic without the bg music is the best no-music vocals I've heard so far. LOL... Taeyeon sounds great. The rest can sing in tune but their voices are just normal. They're kind of like a female Super Junior. Everyone has to stick together to really make the group work. There's only very few in the group who would stand out as individuals.

Umm, I beg to differ. Shinee's cover of Mirotic wasn't that brilliant, actually none of the covers I've heard of Mirotic were outstanding, it's just not an easy song to sing well.

Well if only SJ would have more live singing, then I could actually compare them with SNSD. Unfortunately that's not the case, so I wouldn't say that SNSD is the female equivalent of SJ.

5 out of the 9 SNSD members have very stable voices, 2 have reasonably steady voices, and the other 2 are not steady. Shinee has 1 voice that almost can not fail in Jonghyun, 2 very good voices that has its cracking moments in Onew and Key, 1 very promising voice in Taemin, and 1 voice I've not actually heard singing in Minho. So proportionally I would say SNSD and Shinee are on even par.
