  • Hi Alain,

I have a MOX 8 and a DGX 620 and i was wondering if the scale tuner application will work with them.

    Thanks

  • Dear Mr. Hanna

I really appreciate your response and concerns..and as a loyal yamaha customer myself I am just wondering why did yamaha release the oriental Turkey/Greece pack in the yamaha music-soft website that can be downloaded worldwide (including USA) along with elaborated audio demos while we as arabic musicians need to struggle in order to get the arabic pack or at least an extensive demo...

    Sincerely

    Ammar

  • The demo did the pack injustice. Right now a korg pa500 ORT seems superior as it has much warmer strings sounds and a 1000x better kanoun and Oud tremolos. I couldn't even detect the tremolo here. The choice of the song was not a good one and I am sorry to say that the performance was more of an improvisation with way too many mistakes. Good for an amateur video not an official one. I am sure you have talent Mr. Hanna but you really needed to rehearse a better performance to show off the pack i

  • Great peformanc Mr Hanna, I wish that you are nearby to give me some lessons.

Oh! my!, I had the A 1000, replaced it with Ketron Vega Extreme, which I got rid of it in one month, bought the Korg PA 800, it's great but there is always something missing!, the genius Yamaha registration buttons I missed! in the A1000, changing Tempo and style in one touch!, that was great really, the other brands don't have it, and now with the 128 polyphonic sound in the A2000, I'm getting one very soon!

  • @Najidal Happy to see you there, for those who dont know, Mr Najidal has the best ever channel for learning oriental songs in youtube, i agree with you the performance was good, and the a200 is amazing, but the video doesnt show really the best parts of the pack!

  • @agencemabna Here in Arabia, music sheets are rare and (usually!) full of mistakes!, so it's a great thing to load an (audio) song into the keyboard and try to find the notes! this is one other fantastic feature, one more: I make my own midi file with percussion lines etc., if I don't like it, I just choose a style and the beats comes from the keyboard, this is really wonderful!

(bought it just 2 days ago!).

  • @Najidal Nice, congratulations, waiting for your demos on playarabicmusic :) have a nice time

  • Dear Mr. Alan,

a lot of arab musicians live in the USA, and these arranger workstations are not common in here, and you never find them in any showroom, so basically youtube demos are the only way for us to judge any keyboard before we purchase it.....

    regards

    ammar

  • Alain Hanna: Dear Amroon, How can I help you judge the PSR A2000 bettter?

The Oriental Pack is only for Middle East - GCC - Maghreb and Iran area which is not available in the US unfortunately, our preparations in Middle East are going to be extremly agressive in the coming few months and we will try to find our way through Europe and US to reach all Arab musicians.

  • Dear Sir

Thank you for your comments, this demo video had limited time so showing everything on expansion pack is impossible, if you would like to see the expansion pack content please visit our dealer and try it. Thank you. Alain Hanna.

  • the saidi style sounds like a cheap custom made one from the yamaha 700 or,,,not impressed at all,,khaligi styles sound much better..

  • nice pack, but the demo is not so exaustive, spending more than 50% in one style!!! i agree, we need another demo, more representive and showing a biggest tour of the pack

  • we need more demos on the styles and voices.....
