  • This man plays for the song Dave Ab was to inerested in 'jazzing' throughout the songs. It's actually easyer to do a Dave Ab and flit about, it takes more presence and feel to play for the song.

    Matt Cameron is an inspiration.

  • Matts playing is so flawless and full of energy. This guy gets me pumped to play every time I watch him. Truly an inspiration.

  • Dose any know if Matt plays a double bass or is he just playing a single? curious i didn't know for sure. Either way Matt C is the man! Love his work with Soundgarden hands down MY #1 fav drummer of all time!

  • @BassJammer88 Sounds like he's only playing a single pedal here, although he does use a double bass pedal occassionally, I think it's just for songs like Rearviewmirror and Whipping, I think I read in an interview that he never really practiced with it.

  • this is no song for matt c.

  • 2:25~2:33 !!!

  • holy fills batman!

  • um. magic.

  • Hes just so fun watching him play...

    Unbelievable...

  • obviously, he is! Way above all the others!

  • P.J have been around for so long it only made sense they have a drummer to siut their writing. At present matt delivers plus he's their longest serving drummer. I like the fact he doesn't uses poncy little cymbals too!

  • matt is clearly better, the drum kit dave used sounded completely different anyway.

  • Great Song!!!

    5/4!!!

  • love him

  • Way, way, way better than Dave Ab ! Its not even close. I appreciate DA contribution at the time with PJ, but Matt is clearly superior !

  • @bloodofjupiter

I dunno man, Matt is SOLID for sure, but I thought that the band was fresher, freer, funkier & more experimental with Dave, which I think that he was VERY instrumental in creating, but they are my FAVORITE band & I love all era's...

  • @bloodofjupiter Dave Ab. is better for p.j. songs.

  • @balerinauzicka dude you're out to lunch......take the crap out of your ears and listen. Secondly, I'd also put Jack Irons ahead of Dave Ab. What you can't seem to let go of is that first time you heard Pearl Jam, your heart is telling you Dave but your brain would tell you otherwise..... Matt is far better with or without Pearl Jam.

  • @bloodofjupiter jack irons is good too, but matt is for soundgarden. I seen live videos, and I think that ab. is better for p.j. That is my opinion, you have yours and we cannot agree. End of story. Anyway, nobody gives fuck about our opinions.:)

  • @bloodofjupiter arent you matt cameron defending himself on youtube?

  • @bloodofjupiter hey they the crap out of your ears my friend. wheres the grooving? the funky sounding that made pearl jam go big? wheres the love, the feeling? I see a great drummer, but straigh and boring. jut like any other hired drummer would do. some nice fills here and there but... WHAT ELSE? matt is great. hes an aewsome player and i admire him... but the moment u bring up dave and PJ... sorry... he just sucks balls. (conserning covering TEN, VS and VITA songs) (the albuns that made PJ)

  • @bloodofjupiter hahaha yea sure... show me where his superior... grooving? passion? creativity? feeeling? i only see a guy drumming just like an avarage drummer: stright playing, some nice fills... what else? no trollong, just show me where and why his superior.

  • @bloodofjupiter man am i glad to see someone else say this

  • Great drumming, shame about the audio

  • Much better then Dave Ab. all that guy did good was color the splashes and crashes in the songs.

  • matt its great
