  • Amazing video, so bitter sweet...

  • The fact that she sang all those lonely lyric happily somehow twitched my heart. And that sad face on the graveyard scene may be the best conveyed 8 bit emotion I've ever seen.

  • extreamly adorable. ;A;

    beautiful && sad.

  • If there an actual game for this??

  • Where did Miku visit in this video?

I think this video means a world after a world war...

    Its my point of view.

  • 私は日本人です。I'm Japanese.

This song means after "nuclear war"

becous of a passage in this song is "black rain"

This word means nuclear in Japan.

  • I don't think the two songs are related.... the two robots are even different

  • @BYKBYM1 Do you mean The Wanderlast and *Hello, Planet?

  • @BYKBYM1 Well, the robots are going to be different because that one's Luka and this one's Miku. Wanderlast was more suited to Luka's voice and Miku's was more suited to this one.

  • @BYKBYM1 They're in a series about the world ending.

The Weekends Coming is, from what I gather, a girl who doesn't believe that the world is ending, at first, is looking for a boy she's trying to confess to, but he went "somewhere far," so she doesn't know where he is. Even if the world is ending, all she wants to do is tell him her feelings.

Then comes Our 16Bit Warz, which seems to have a lot of mathematical terms and confusing lyrics. It seems to be about a war, possibly with aliens.

  • @BYKBYM1 The Wanderlast seems to be about a robot that knows the world is ending, and doesn't mind dying, but want's to stay with her master and sing one last song to them. She proceeds to sing an "endless song" and it's implied she dies.

*Hello, Planet is about a robot who wakes up and takes a plant that she was tasked with growing out with her to try and find her master, as well as get the plant to grow. She says the plant is the most important thing to her.

  • @BYKBYM1 During her travels, acid rain starts to fall and damage her. When she finally arrives, she realizes her master is dead, and begins to cry. Her tears cause the plant to start growing. She meets her master up in heaven as well as the new plant, and it appears that the one plant reseeded the whole earth, with the video reading 'The Last, LOVE SONG from our Planet...'

I forgot to mention this, but Rin sent letters all over the world in TWC just so the boy would get one.

  • @Angellbaby3426 Reminds me of a manga...

  • @BYKBYM1 I suppose it kinda does! It'd probably make a good one, now that you mention it.

  • @Angellbaby3426 woah, I never thought of that, what I meant was an actually existed manga, the title was "She, The Ultimate Weapon: The Last Love Song on This Little Planet" ...... Do Vocaloid Dream of Doomsday Bird? Arc1 : The (Week)end is coming! a story of technology advances and how it destroys humankind itself Arc2 : Our 16 Bit Warz a story of how Human hatred are strong, happen the same time as The (Week)end is coming!, the war is ended by Rin's letters

  • @BYKBYM1 The Last... It probably IS related to that manga in some way!

And whoa... Where'd you find all the info about Doomsday Bird? Or did you come up with it? It's some pretty neat stuff.

  • @Angellbaby3426 Maybe, maybe not, and the Do Vocaloid Dream of Doomsday Bird series above is a story I made up based on the songs in the series, the arc names are the same as the song titles

  • @Angellbaby3426 By the way, here's completed version of Arc 1&2 Arc1: The (Week)end is coming! a story of technology advances and how it destroys humankind itself, and how a girl who is oblivious at this and is in love with someone who is drafted to the army, making the heroine sends millions of love letter to the whole world, hoping that it would reach him.

  • @Angellbaby3426 Arc2: Our 16 Bit Warz a story of how Human hatred are strong, happen the same time as The (Week)end is coming!, the war is ended by Rin's letters. The main heroine is an ace of an army who is very caring of her comrades and has a strong sense of duty, the story mainly focuses on her actions during the war

I hate Character limitations and Chaptas.....

  • @Angellbaby3426 Arc3: The Wanderlast a story of a robot who was active at the time of Our 16 Bit Warz, having emotions and fallen in love with one of the soldier, she's scrapped after the war Arc4 : Hello, Planet a story of human's last trace on earth after Our 16 Bit Warz that uses nuclear bombs here and there, the heroine is a robot made to grow a seed to bring Earth back to life, the robot was successful in its mission, albeit sacrificing herself.

  • @Angellbaby3426 Bonus Arc: Sayonara, World End a story placed in an alternate world, the heroine is the same as Hello, Planet with the memories of her past, revealing that she had met the other heroines, the Arc mainly focuses on the robot's memories before she "died"

  • @BYKBYM1 The mailbox in the beginning, possibly, receives one of the letters Rin sent out, and then it's shown that Miku had died by her master's grave, with the plant at her side.

  • i hope i wasn't the only one who thought of spongebob

  • @Iggles83 how did you think of spongebob?

  • @Iggles83 I think you was

  • @lovelesscat41 there is one already

  • Hmmm.... a really deep and depressing story hidden beneath cutesy, undetailed, sprite-like graphics and upbeat music? Reminds me of MOTHER/EarthBound.

  • @NinjaTotoro Watch The Weekend is Coming (sung by Rin). It might give you some insight on that.

  • This is so sad, yet so beautiful ;-;.

  • That would be the coolest video game ever. D:

  • This could really be a basis for a good freeware game. It would have to not use the same characters due to copyright issues, but loosely basing the story, graphics, and user interface on what appears in this video would make a relatively decent game. Sort of Yume Nikki-esque, using minimalistic design and maybe a bit of surrealism as an extra touch...I know how to program and make pixel art, so I should do that in my spare time.

  • @TheMeepski If you do, may I play? Pretty please?

  • @EvilandPink Of course! :D

  • @TheMeepski Yay! Thank you!

  • DONT CRY DONT CRY.....mission failed

  • I don't get the reference to Adam and Eve... Mind explaining?

  • @PKsmash6000 she's talking about the branches on the celestial tree.

  • Cute song~

    But wth was that thing next to the plant pot at the very end? 0_0;

  • @lalamei00 it's miku :[

  • @letmeinthesound1 Awww.... ;__;

  • So sad and cute! XDX

  • ...Ehm is this actually a game or is it just a music video looking likea game?

  • @SakuraEvangeline

    real video game

  • genius...

  • .....aaaaand this is the video where my life changed forever - I was introduced to Vocaloid!

  • We accept that we and the "deep akirame" For, Sasakure may combine sad lyrics with happy music.

  • @risa2556

Japanese people has more suitable words "Syogyoumujyou".

It means the impermanence of worldly things or all worldly things are transitory....

This is the essence of Buddhism ;D

  • To accept so much grief, we must have courage and hope. Be represented by the dark music that hard, but we are just sad.

  • Japan is a country with frequent earthquakes and tsunamis. They can not be completely sealed. Japanese people accept them, and it must be prepared.

  • But her lover was already dead. Then she was "akirame" .But she has not given up . She admitted that a loved one dies. She was admitted to the despair of the world. She accepted all those things. She cried. That "deep akirame" means.

  • This "akirame" There are various types. Despite being able to easily "akirame" is similar to giving up.However, Miku could never give up.She was looking for loved ones. She fought alone in the contaminated rain and lava. She never "akirame" did not.

  • "akirame"and "gaman"a bit like this. But they are quite different. "gaman"means that the hard and painful to endure. In contrast, "akirame " means that they accept.

  • I'm Japanese. Foreigners will surely wonder. How sad to put on fun music lyrics Why?Why do Japanese people put on fun music sad lyrics?I think. This is because the Japanese have "akirame" feeling.I will split this comment.

  • The melody in the chorus is similar to Rin's "The Weekend is Coming!" They're both somewhat melancholy despite sounding cheerful.

  • its so sad Q___Q

  • I bet you the letter is from Rin's "The Weekend is Coming!" ;)

  • Thank you hank you,Sasakure UK.

  • this song is soooo sad!!!! it makes me cry every time i listen to it... :'(

  • JESUS CHRIST!!!!! I can't think of anything more to say to this masterpiece!!!!

  • this song never ceases to give me goosebumps.

whoever made this song, i give them my love.

  • 1:59

I see Ezlo's Cap! Except purple! But that is exactly how the sprite looked in TMM.

  • Oi.... Why must she have so many depressing songs?! This is even worse then freakin' Len dying in every song!!!! TwT

  • and by that time i think she already worn out by all the things happens to her...

    liked the song soo much

  • finally the mail come, she long waits for the seed to grow, and even says "hello" to everything just to wait things back to normal.....but she died at last end...

i really start to cry when she says "i saw u sleeping so quietly"

  • Oh never mind because I think she basically dies since they showed her with her lover up in the sky in the end.....

  • This song makes me cry ! Does she die in the end or does she just fall asleep ? But other than that , it's a very nice song . :)

  • @MarinaMillion dies

  • My favorite songs, gets me crying every time

  • @opire2 same as me

  • what do you even do in this game?

  • I have no idea what this game Miku is base in this video.....

  • if you pay attention, its a lit similat ro "Campanella", maybe one catch this message ; )

sorry for my bad english. This is one of the best vocaloid's videos i ever seen.

  • hatsune miku is unresistable at water at this song

  • somehow it looks like its from Chrono triggers future dome time period, where the world has come to an end thru lavos and the last surviving people shelter themselves in futuristic domes.

  • The subbing is very good but it's a scar to a gen that it misunderstood 会いたかったのキミに.

(verb) + の is never a modifying clause.

  • @acitapeh

    Im Japanese.

    you are right.

会いたかったのI have long longed to see you.

キミにオハヨーハヨーso I say hello to you.

but I think this translation is free and very nice.

    because English are not Japanese.

  • I don't care how stupid this may sound:

I want to die this way.

Knowing that there is a heaven for me where the one I love waits.

  • @KonekoChan558 Its not stupid. :) But, I'd rather die WITH my lover, personally.

  • @Hotaruzuki Definetly :)

  • SAD S A D S A D!!!!!!!!!!!

  • So Cute ^_^ !!!

  • They say english is the hardest laguange

  • it's 8 bit MIku :)

  • @ghostjoker101 Actually, that looks more like 16-bit, so it was made on a SNES. Probably replicated the SNES sound chip, too. Could be wrong, though.

  • I Love that pv soo cute =w=

  • Why did this come up when I searched for "System of a down Hatsune Miku"?

  • I think Miku searches for the boy/girl dead of "The Wanderlast" in that song.

And finally she found him/her :D

  • It's amazing this is a fan made song, there's an animated pv of this that makes it REALLY sad :*(

  • WHY DO LIKE 85% OF MIKU'S SONGS INVOLVE LOVE, HEARTBREAK, OR DEATH?!!! GAAAAAH!! (I thought she was supposed to be the happy Vocaloid...) :I

  • @UltraChao77 thats what she is protrayed as a happy vocaloid but even a happy vocaloid can have songs like this xD

  • omg !!!! i want this song sooo badly !!! i wish this was a real game...except the ending... its sad...

  • @PikaChibi94 There is one now. Only in Japan though.

  • @RenoVercetti ha, yea i found out. nd i want it,

  • Maybe it is sad that she died, but you shouldn't be too worried about it. She finally is reunited with her friend again.

  • @IvoryOfTheWolves That's what makes meee cry ;___;

    Happy bittersweet tears ;________;

(ER yes you made that comment a year ago I know V_____V)

  • @KitWistful Do you want to cry? Check the animated PV, or if you want something depressive look the alternate version of this song called "Sayonara, World End"

  • wow!!! IN 8-BIT!!!

  • 8-bit Miku *-*

  • she dies in front her love....

  • Can't believe they made a game out of this. SO EPIC!

  • epic....

  • One of the few songs that have made me cry a good cry...

  • sad song D: I was all humming to the catchy tune and then Miku went and died...T-the song still sounded all cute even when she died to see her friend D: She didnt get to read her letter, either *sobsob*

  • Tekunoporika, kotobanika... no kosutarika ?

... (ok sorry, another fail'd attempt to help people laugh after a sad song)

  • MASTAAH KAWAIIII!!

  • Definately a cute song.

    I love it!!

  • Aw, dang I cried at the end, I'm such a sucker. D';

    <3:]

  • is she dead at the end?

    If so..

    UWAAAH!!

  • @xXHollysallsortsXx I cried at that part!

  • Why cant I see the connection with "The wanderlast"?

  • The connection of two stories isn't clearly described, so we should guess it.

The hint of it which I think is the following.

    1. A male gave Miku the plant pot.

    2. The background of "THE WANDERLAST" is like the botanical garden.

    3. The lyrics of "THE WANDERLAST" was written by a male.(The guess from the Japanese pronoun)

  • @otomo1983

    Also, the earth is dead?

And on the Non-16 bit ver. Isn't the tree Miku dies at off Wnderlast piano remix?

  • @doremidreams

The other PV for this gives visual refrences to the 3D model wanderlast PV

  • @doremidreams it's alot more obvious when you watch the MMD versions of hello planet and wanderlast :3

  • @doremidreams Your post is old but i would like to share my theories:

1-The wanderlast is sung by the male character before dying or...

2- By Luka who accompany him and send the mail (at the end of this) to Miku...

3- Both are sung by Miku, being The Wanderlast a dream she have before waking up in Hello, Planet (...though Luka would be a weird choice to sing The Wanderlast).

I posted something like this in The Wanderlast video.

  • I love the way this song is happily creepy.

  • Is it pathetic that I was nearly in tears by the end?

  • This is such a sad song but it says so much.

  • You know what's also sad? Miku never got to read that letter she finally got in the mailbox...

  • so sad but so cute! makes me warm and fuzzy inside =3

  • This would be an amazingly cute game o^\\\\^o

  • Actually there is a Hello Planet minigame in the Project Diva addon.

  • the pv reminds me of yume nikki a little...

hmm, what a cute song <3

  • For those of you too lazy to watch (or not getting the story), it goes like this.

The earth's population is gone, and Miku is the only one left. She goes looking for the friend all across the world, and then she finally notices his grave. Overcome with grief at not having him even alive anymore...she dies volunterily, seeing him again in heaven. :)

    So...yeah...:P

  • @HarvestMoonHero Although it was a year ago, this is actually not correct. Miku's a robot or a gynoid or something, and she's supposedly the last trace of humanity left on earth. Before she was hidden away, her master gave her the sole objective of growing a plant. Since she doesn't have any other goals, she decides to look for her master while caring for the flower. Crossing the barren landscape, she gradually breaks until she finds his grave, where she finally "dies". The plant covers earth.

  • @Dageki Where do you know that??

  • @SakuraEvangeline It's connected with Wanderlast, but a lot of the wording in the lyrics as well as elements from both the 8-bit and 3d movies clue you in.

  • @Dageki Reminds me a little of Wall-E

  • @catdelks Which came first?

  • @Dageki I don't know D:

  • @Dageki Not just the lyrics, but the story is known now.

    Really sad.

  • Katakana is used for foreign words so you translated that correctly then. Some others here on youtube have translated good morning out of that. You did it right though.

  • I'm too lazy to watch the whole thing, umm, what's the plot?

I only get the part that miku died at the end. ^-^
