Stewart is a GOD. He can 'miss all the beats' he wants LOL. I think the dumbass down the list should put on some vintage ska, reggae, and rocksteady and dare to call out those mf's on missing beats. It was very hip to fuse Jamaican and Jamaican British music with punk during this time. Listen to the Clash and XTC. The Police just brought it to the world masses.
love copeland's use of syncopation. the police are a band that stand out. they produced the hits, and had a style all their own. to do what they did, you'd be 1 in a million.
@jimbo01111 Next time you want to comment about something you clearly know nothing about, do yourself favour and do your research first. Your opinion is your business, but you might want to try and at least give the impression that you've given it some intelligent consideration beforehand.
It is a talented occupation (musician). And it's no surprise you raised a lot of anger calling Copeland a "shit" drummer. Anyway, you are entitled to have and express that opinion. Whether he misses beats or not, I'm not sure. I only know that I particularly enjoy his style on the drums.
@jimbo01111 what kind of an idiot are you? to say being a musician isn't a talented occupation is an totally idiotic and damn well rude, as i am a musician ( a drummer in fact ) you have no idea how much skill it takes to be able to coordinate your arms and legs at the same time, whilst thinking about your next beat or fill sequence, as well as having a load of people watch you constantly! And as for not being important? well F**k you! without the drums the song would fall to pieces. love Kez XX
@jimbo01111 Learn some manners hahaha Learn Drums missing beats that's called note displacement, that's what copelands best at and his hi hat runs and Accents on beat 1 and sometimes the and of 1 , yes everyone has opinions but when you make a dumbfuck one your goana here about it.. this song is in 4/4 time and The chord Changes in the verse are on the and of beat 2 and 4, that's the police for you.
@hildover im entitled to my opinion and if u wanna get insultive over something im entitled to do then i think your a fkin prick and need to learn some manners dickweed
@jimbo01111 Trouble is, you said he was shit. You obviously dont know much about drumming. Ive met some of the the best jazz, rock and session drummers in the world. Many said copeland was innovative and expressed himself brilliantly on the drums. Its hard to be different, but thats what Stuart Copeland is. Check out "the beds too big without you"
Hahahaha....you are a dumbass. He did the drums on the album. Anyone who knows anything about him knows that he rarely plays a song the same way twice.

shit drummer missing lots of beats

@jimbo01111 Stuart Copeland is one of the best drummers around. If he's missing lots of beats he's doing it deliberately.
