I was in the first year of High School, in Chicago, Feb. '59 and recall the events surrounding "The Tragedy" quite vividly. For the next two school days an honest 50+ percent of the areas' school kids stayed home...grieving. Didn't see so many sullen & tearful faces , again, until Viet Nam. Ironically, in 'NAM, our fire-fight team adopted American Pie and would sing it, soberly, often...especially after particularly bloody skirmishes...in which comrades didn't survive. A Tribute.
@skadoosh01 Since THE FALL, nothing has changed...NOTHING..nor will it, .till mans' original nature is restored.
