  • Rick Warren is happy for Obama? What a joke. it's a shame he can't say the same for America. Rick is nothing less than a religious politician--always trying to ride the fence. His knowledge of the Bible is shockingly shallow and his hunger for recognition is abominable. I have no respect for Rick Warren. He not anything like a prophet who spoke for God, he's a used car salesman who just wants to be popular. Rick, get out of the ministry and do God a favor.

  • [8] But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death

  • "then don't practice homosexuality openly", what...who are you talking to...and who is taking away your rights?

  • Rick Warren wishes Obama well because Rick Warren is an idiot

  • Indeed. President Obama seems incredibly humble. Not the least sign of the arrogance we saw in Bush.

  • you proved what you know by your own comment. I know the history. You don't you confessed it by making that same old ignorant remark that every liberal makes that doesn't know government and history:

"we got something called separation of church and state"

You make the ORIGINAL patriots ashamed that they died for this country.

  • So i must ask again, nodoubt257, "Are you dense?"

  • Go study that "separation of church and state." You're clueless as to what it means.

  • The phrase separation of church and state is generally traced to the letter written by Thomas Jefferson in 1802 to the Danbury Baptists, in which he referred to the First Amendment to the United States Constitution as creating a "wall of separation" between church and state.[3] The phrase was then quoted by the United States Supreme Court first in 1878,[4] and then in a series of cases starting in 1948.[5] This led to increased popular and political discussion of the concept.

  • nodoubt257, why are so you so abhorrently ignorant to both history and facts, and then trying to assert that I am the one that does not know the meaning of separation of church and state.

Please educate yourself nodoubt257, because your making an ass of yourself.

  • Religion, especially Christianity, Islam, and Judaism, is the most potently perverted system of thought that has ever shone on man.

  • Why are you so upset? Did some crazy Christian hurt you? Well at least your not like the rest of the atheist who only battle Christianity. Stop trying to fight that feeling inside of you that actually knows that God exists. You want to be an intellectual but your anger makes you sound ignorant. And yes there was morality before the Bible, but there was also God before the Bible. Ill still be praying for you though. Sorry if it angers you. RELAX, HE STILL LOVES YOU! same goes for the rest of you

  • No christian, or any other dogmatic worshipers, hurt me directly.

Religion hurt everyone every day. From women, children, and men.

I am not anger or bitter, I am just stick of idiots that sell stupidy(i.e religion).

  • This fat asshole's so full of shit it hurts..

  • glad to hear this.

  • Thanks for the response and I do appreciate it.

Can you assist me further in directing me to the specific scripture? Thanks in advance.

  • Here is one reference

    1 Timothy 2:1-2

"1 I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone— 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness."

  • Personally I think we should pray for God's will to be done, and not our own political agendas. And what is God's will? For us to "live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness" That is Warren's Message. Too bad neither side gets it. The left is confused and the right is too stubborn to accept that our mission is not to promote family values and anti-gay and anti abortion agendas, but sharing God's love and forgiveness of sin through Jesus Christ

  • Excuse me, but why should we be praying for "God's will to be done?" Isn't "God" all powerful, why does he need our prays for his "WILL" to be done?

"And what is God's will? For us to "live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness""

    - from what i recall from the bible, there isnt too much of peace and holiness, but alot of wars, murder, polygamy, and hatred

    am i wrong????

    am just curious

people keep praying for this peace, but pray doesn't seem to work????

    worried? yeah???

  • Your correct, God is all powerful, for that reason our prayers are not to make God do something, but for us to keep in mind what the objective is, and do it. The things that happen in the world are happening because those that don't know God are lost. And those that do, don't do anything, and sometimes we are the ones to blame for the "wars, murder, polygamy, and hatred" not God. For that I apologize.

  • I like you, question the Church and the many examples that the Bible gives of hypocritical people, and it just doesn't make since. When you judge God or the belief in Him based on what humanity does, it will anger you and lead you to disbelief. But when you judge Him by knowing Christ, you find love and a challenge to serve and bring justice towards those who cry.

  • I will pray for you, not so God can love and accept you, you already know He does, but so that I can understand how to love those that disagree with me, and so that I can do my part in making this a better world for you and me. Again, Im really sorry for the things that Christianity has done, but there is a Christ that you need to get to know. Have a great New Year, and thanks for helping me question my beliefs, it always strengthens them!

  • theman555521 - i have appreciated your responses, it was somewhat enlightening. But, i would behoove you not to pray for me, because i consider that a great "spiritual" insult.

I would say this: i like your Christ, whether he ever existed or not, but i do not like your Christians.

And again, thank you for your response

  • Yes God is powerful and this is why He allowed man to have his own mind and will. Because we want our ways and we follow our will, we fight to get what we want, we are to proud and we collect sins, thus wars arise. Wars and bad things that happen around us are will of men and not the will of God. Wars are symbols of dishonor and unbelief in God, we fail to love our brethren which is what God commanded us to do. Prayer does not get answered because we fail to see the will of God in our lives.

  • The garage you just wrote pearliem123 is a lie.

In the bible, in case you have yet to hear, God condones killing as long as you fight, kill, and discriminate in his name and glory.

Which is exactly why politicians, i.e Bush, use God to justify their idiocy.

The fact is, religion(all religion) is the must perverted system that man has ever invented.

Its frankly revolting that "grown" adults would hold such repugnant imaginary ideology like religion.

  • It's not religion that's bad it's just the fucktards to take it and use it a reason to futher whatever power they wish to gain.

You're a dumbfuck too btw. GO EAT 2 NlGGERC0CKS AND CHOKE ON THEM! LOLOLOLOL

  • btw "dumbfuck" is not a word retard . . . but i forgive you because your to stupid to know otherwise.

But hey, stupidity breeds ignorance, while ignorance breeds fear and hatred toward things you do not understand.

I know i lost you ChronoStrifeFF7H in my previous statements, but what i am trying to say is, "GO EAT HITLERS IMPOTENT NECROTIC COCK AND CHOKE ON IT!"

    LOLOLOLOL

  • ChronoStrifeFF7H, you would be greatly disillusioned if you think that religion itself is not dangerous and not a perverted system . . . oh yeah, that's right, your too stupid to see that FACT.. . "dumbfuck!"

  • placidwaves:Look how angry you are and you think religion is a problem for people? You are chewing out everybody on this post. Why are you even watching this video if you are so anti religion? People can't have an opinion about religion because you don't like it? Come on who sounds dangerous here?

  • am sorry nodoubt257, are you dense?

if you fail to see the parallel between religion and vile, then you surely can not understand my outrage towards religion.

If you fail to see that the history of religion always produces ignorance, discrimination, hatred, war, and etc, then you truly can never understand my disgust for religion.

If you fail to see that religion affects my life on a daily basis because dogmatic imbeciles invoke god in legal polices, then your to dense to understand my anger

  • I dont give a fuck what people believe in their homes or what magical god or goddess they worship in private, but do not invoke god or goddess in public events.

    Keep your perverseness to yourself.

I believe there exist something called separation of church and state.

  • A key responsibility of the civil government is to protect its citizens from attack by wrongdoers. This involves punishing those who break the law. It also involves defending the nation from every external attacker, including nations, other groups of people or dangerous pests and diseases. All these responsibilities are encompassed in the power of the sword (Romans 13:1-8).

  • The Bible gives a nation the right of self-defence.A key responsibility of the civil government is to protect its citizens from attack by wrongdoers. This involves punishing those who break the law. It also involves defending the nation from every external attacker, including nations, other groups of people or dangerous pests and diseases. All these responsibilities are encompassed in the power of the sword (Romans 13:1-8).

  • pearliem123 are you dense???

By your logic, nations like China, who dont have a "bible", particularly the Holy Bible, do not have "the right of self-defense." And if you really want to stick to your repugnant logic, then you really are dense.

Second, your main point is in regard to the imaginary morality that the bible supposedly has.

Morality has always existed, even before the writing of the bible. Additionally, a nation's right to self-defense has always existed!

    your a dumbass

  • The Bibles says you pray for your President? Really? Where is this. I didn't think that we had "presidents" until LONG after Biblical times. I may be wrong, so if someone finds this scripture, please let me know.

  • NathanG, You are very smart in figuring out that the term "president" did not come into our vocabulary until "LONG" after as you said, but the Bible does say to pray for leaders and Kings, which Warren is contextualizing the the term for what we now know as "president". Thanks:)
