I've been playing snare for 4 years. and I recently got my drum set FINALLY set up.

I need help separating my feet from my hands in terms of bass drum.

This song is particularly easy, and I can play it. But other songs, the bass doesn't go along exactly with the hihats and snare. And I can't play a different rhythm with my feet while I play another with my hands. Tips? Greatly appreciated

@Jiakurai Practice, practice and more practice, that's all i can give you unfortunately. I know it sounds dumb but independence of feet and hands is not something that you learn in the course of one week, it takes months, if not years to make it perfect. I've been drumming for about 3 years right now and i've got it pretty much settled down by now but it takes a lot of practice. I recommend to go to freedrumlessons(dot)com, they do good tutorials ;) Good luck :)

If I had to say anything. I'd use the bass in the first part intro instead of your toms, and also at 0:45, I usually do the bassdrum too. Makes more like the original. Of course, you don't have to do it exactly like the original :-)

Tama, Pearl have some decent ones at reasonable price range. Again it depends on your budget and keep in mind if you want a good sound quality set of course it would cost you a little more doesn't matter which make it is. @NCOMAYHEM Try this one or What I've done. If there's a part of a song that you find hard for you to play, just improvise the way you like or the easy way that you can do as long as you keep the beat. It doesn't have to be exactly the same as the original. Good luck.

They don't work out like he said improvise, or just keep watching different drum covers to get the differnt fills down. This is 7 months later that I'm replying so you've probably already improved but I just thought I'd throw that out there
