The explanation is simple. Clearly, the carburetor didn't line up with the oxygen sensor valve. That means that the pistons didn't line up with the drum brakes. So the catalytic converter rotated too much and it caused the transmission to push the radiator into overdrive. This in turn caused a the back left tire to create enough heat that traveled through the ground and back into the engine and caused the RAM and the Hard Drive to crash and explode

So at the launch he hit the gas and the nos. Therefore you get your explosion. Plus I talked to the guy. He is an orthodontist and has his own office. He had the car fixed within 2 weeks and was back at the track. Along with an extra mustang just in case

@badass02hd First, purging had nothing to do with it. Second, the zex system is wired to the throttle to fire at wide open throttle. The backfire happened because of lack of rpms. Comp cams said not to put in the cam phaser lockouts with the cams I run.  They were wrong. That was the problem. They are in now and the car is fine
