Die Abkürzung MK steht für "Mark". Heißt im englischen soviel wie "Neue Version / Neues Modell".

Gibt ja beispielsweise auch den Mark MK 2 oder den Mini Cooper MK 2.

Wir sagen halt Golf 2, die Briten MK 2 ;)

Meinte das halt so, dass klar wird, dass der MK 2 neuer ist als der MK 1. Ein MK 2 unterscheidet sich nicht von nem Golf 2 ausser, dass das Lenkrad vielleicht auf der rechten Seite ist ;) Wie gesagt nur andere Modellbezeichnung.

Das mit dem "neuen Modell" hab ich halt irgendwo aus Google zitiert.

Ist ja auch nicht nur bei Autos so. Bei Technikartikeln gibt es diesen "MK"-Ausdruck teilweise auch ;)

yes they were for the GTI's. also the bumpers r original. another option is to take the bumpers from the '90 mk2. GTI's. they have to be adjusted in lenght but they look so much nicer than the originals. but that's of course only my opinion
