I love how you have the line running inside and right next to a ton of electrical wires... Not the best design I am sure, but I would have probably done the same thing lol. Great job! 2007 huh? Is the beast still running on LPG? :)
Another crappy YouTube video... lot's of wasted video footage. Re-shoot otherwise what are you showing me? a vehicle? I can see those all day long! Show me the parts! Show me what parts mean what!
so how do you like it thus far? Is the off camber better? I am thinking of doing this with my CJ. I think I will go with the dual fuel model so I can keep the gasoline for long trails and switch to the propane for the off camber sections where I usually stall out with my carb.
I can tell you for a fact that stall outs are out of the picture with propane. I have done several conversions including an air cooled VW conversion and you can get a ton of low end idle out of propane. you can attain an idle of 500rpm or less.
that's only happen if the AFR (air fuel ratio), Is incorrect in the whole section of RPM. if the mixture is to lean or rich, make the internal temperature raise over 725c, and make the piston and valve to bend.
the right AFR on gasoline engine is 14.7 on idle, in WOT , wide open throtle 12.7-13.0.
if you work with this standard, the engine life get longer, and less maintenaince, like oil, catalytic converter, spark plugs.
@t680277 deffinantly not, he should get about a 1/3 the millage for the same amount of fuel cause propane has about 1/3 of the energy per unit of fuel than gas does.
Guess I'll have to! It is running well, but my steering box crapped out on me. I'll get that fixed and then see exactly how long a tank of propane last me, how it runs and so on. Just from how it feels, it's a great improvement.

i have a question do you get the same milage per gallon or leater with propane to gas thank-you
t680277 3 years ago
You know, it's only used off-road, so the miles per gallon is not like street use. I'm not really sure what it was before or what it is now.

but is it cheaper?

how many miles do you get to a tank?
are you useing a forklift tank?
mikes47jeep 3 years ago
Don't know the miles b/c it's off-road use...but on 10 gallons you should be able to get 16 to 18 hours or driving.

Where did you get this kit ? I'm interested in converting my 54 Coronet.
GreaseKulture 3 years ago
I'd never do that to a coronet unless it was not in good condition..
krankiev 3 years ago
Man, don't do that. If there's alternative, sell it to somebody who wants to restore it and convert the used car you buy with the proceeds.
