  • drift in a river for about 2 miles at a time se if they can follow you that or wear dead down wind

  • The dog kissed him! How sweet. I wonder if he does that to criminals too?

  • Well, all you have to do is out run the dog.

  • i would never play hide and seek with that dog.. lol

  • the dog's nose is sensitive enough to detect 1 person out of billions

  • duh no shit they can find what they cant see, wernt u watching the fkn video. WAT - A - DUMBASS

  • THAAAT'S A GOOD BOOOY, THAAT'S A GOOD BOY!

  • I wonder if he would lick a convict when he find him .

  • minute particles of adams scent: adoms ha.ha. get it?

    wow i need a life 8D

  • freethinker u must be a complete idiot, these dogs are trained and wont stop till you tell them to stop and i don't care who you are a dog is not going to tire faster than you

  • If you can get a good head start and keep running and do not stop for anything you can out run them over long distances the dog will tire before you will but you have to be in good shape. Humans can out run any animal on earth over long distances.

  • @freethinker143 out-pace, not out run

we as humans are good long distance travellers but shit at running

  • @freethinker143 hmm love to see you out run a lion then. just saying

  • @freethinker143 I don't know where the hell you got that from, but it's definitely wrong. Running or jogging on four legs is so much more efficient and energy conserving than running/jogging on two legs. A full marathon that even the fittest of people can have trouble with isn't enough to even break a sweat with lots of animals.

  • @wurble but there is tribes people in africa that can run gasells and leopard/geopard to their deaths the animals death is to say

  • @MeisterReaper Leopards have not got good stamina. You are backing up what he says with your statement.

  • @57worldwide But those tribes can run anything to death

  • @HopelessSoldiers Those tribes...Which tribes?

  • @57worldwide /watch?v=fUpo_mA5RP8

  • @HopelessSoldiers You gave a video of a tribe separating an animal from it's herd and hunting it. While it will suffice, I was trying to say that a tribe cannot run gazelles (as in plural, a herd) to death at one time. I was incorrect and apologise for that, thank you for imparting your experience to me.

Also, in the video they choose to outrun the animal in the herd which they believe will tire first. So, they do not outrun anything to death, you were incorrect in your choice of words.

  • @57worldwide no i just stated that humans can run some animals to their death but nothing about that running on 2 legs was better than running on 4 legs it is the opposite even thought that humans can run other animals to their death they can for exempel a human can never out run a leopard but humans have so much stamina or can have so much stamina that they can run gasells to their death then chase another one and have same speed for a long time

  • @MeisterReaper Consider the cheetah - only 50% of their chases result in catching the pursued animal. In other words, the cheetah has extremely bad stamina. A human could not run faster than a cheetah, if both run from a standing start. They probably could be outrun though, as they only run very short distances.

  • @freethinker143 Haha that's so stupid. Try bust that yourself.

  • @freethinker143 not Scandinavian wolves, a Scandinavian wolf can run for 25 hours straight, only stopping to take a leak from time to time. They have the highest stamina of all creatures on earth when it comes to long distance runs. A Scandinavian wold runs at aprox. 40-45 kilometers an hour. The fastest human ever recorded ran at 29-30 kilometers an hour, and that was only a 100 meter sprint.

  • @emilkon I don't know about the scandinavian wolf 25 hour thing, but I know you're misinformed about the speed of humans. Top sprinters reach 25-27 miles per hour which works out to 40-42 kilometers per hour. Roughly speaking of course.

  • @freethinker143 No... just no >.>

  • So if it's trailing him on discarded skin cells then perhaps putting on some kind of full-body suit would help, or at least wearing gloves and a mask.

  • If u had a jetpack u could run in a circle and then fly away...

  • can't trace a ninja !! they are fully covered so no skin cells droppin off lawl

    ;p

  • i seen this one on tv :D

  • lulzzzzzzzzzz

  • what if you have your cousin Jethro, let loose a bitch in heat in the same area? It worked in a country song.

  • @joelito84 my girlfriend?

  • just shoot the dog and run for it.

  • @sunderkeenin How would you shoot the dog if you just escaped from jail?

  • @DailyAppReviewer escaping from jail I would have at least had to take out one guard. I would have taken his gun.

  • @yukido42 of course u cannot fool the dog, u can only fool the handler.

  • @blazedbuzzkillers exactly :D always good to keep these things handy, never know when u may need them.

  • i know the best way to hide weed in your car is in food because when the dog sniffs it the handler will think it is the food its after and pull it away.

  • @TheSameDamnGuy yeah i saw that manswers too. the dog smells the weed but if it's in hamburger, but the handler thinks it's going after the food.

  • @TheSameDamnGuy it really depend on the handler, they already know that dog can different the smell, even if you try to hide it with perfume or food, plus this is a well train dogs, but mostly of course it depend on the handler.

  • if u used the dogs scent somehow it would leave the dog stumped because u cant smell ur own sect or else u wouldnt smell anything

  • what if you runn around in circles then jump out of the circle leaveing the dog to run around in circles and it will not discover the gap you made when you jumped?

  • @brickerproductions thats what i was thinking haha

  • Increase your time distance gap or shoot the handler. You will never outsmart the dog just the handler.

  • i want a bloodhound

  • hes the best at hide and seek!

  • Adam shuuur likes to dress up in costume often... San Francisco, figgurs.

  • I don't know if being wet would cause you to shed less, but I bet being covered head to toe in hair spray would.

  • What if you steal pepper from the prison cafeteria, and scatter that on your trail as you flee?

  • @Watercr3ss

They tried that on the episode as well, didn't work, dog kept going as if the pepper wasn't even there. They also had Adam rub some of Jaime's scent on him to try and confuse the dog, but it didn't work either.

  • @Watercr3ss That would drive the dogs crazy and the convict would get away. I know because a handler told me about a case where this actually happened.

  • swimming across a body of water is pretty useless. The dog would lead the police to the water, and that most likely means u swam across, than once the police get across the dog is back on your trail. But hey, do what you can to keep from getting caught (again), right?

  • they didn't try crossing a body of water...

if i knew that "discarded skin particles were making a trail to me, then i would deff. take a dip if i was on the run from the law...

  • yeah, cause if your wet, your skin cells would stick to you, I think? Maybe they could still drip off

  • ok i got this busted and easy grab some amonia the dog wont be able to smell where you sprayed it cuz it smells too strong I say do it for drugs also place the dope inside of a container filled with amonia

  • what if he climbs a tree?

  • the dog will smell him and the police will get the dude

  • The dog will catch the sent and bark at the tree.

  • what if her wears a body suit?

  • probably the dog will still catch him

  • he would bark into the tree to show that he was there

  • one ease way shoot the dog wait you don't have a gun... or kill the dog umm throw a rock at it hmmm I throw a steak at it

  • what will happed if he lies into the river and stay under water??

  • he'll drown

  • @stevewestingale dogs can swim you retard

  • @MegaSackboy16 wtf? i was talking to svetashady, if Adam lies in the river and stays underwater he'll drown...

  • does anybody know the race of this dog????

  • species* It's a bloodhound.

  • @NejiHyuugaByakugan Considering they can all interbreed, I sure they are all the same species.

    different breed.

  • @NejiHyuugaByakugan

race/breed/strain* Gray wolves and dogs are under the species C. lupus. It's strange to think a chiwawa and a great dane are the same species.

  • lol before u want 1 i strongly advice to read about the breed u need to have a fully fence house and the dog must be always in a lead becuase if it picks up a smell it will go off and wont come back until it realizes your not there anymore !

  • i want one of those

  • we have a bloodhound

    i live in the netherlands

there is only 2 ppl that have such a dog in the north of the netherlands :D

  • WOW. be careful.lol

  • I was able to elude the dog by taking rocks and marinating them in steak and then putting them under my balls for a day, and while on the run I threw a rock every few minutes.. I was able to make it to the bus station and on my way to a south of the border vacation lol

  • Amazing dog ^^

  • I like how the dog was "taught" or "trained" to lick Jamie! :P

    cute dog

  • He is Adam, no Jamie.

  • i live right next to sicamore grove

  • When i was working security a couple years ago the head of maintenence told me of a time when he was back in the air force and they used to do something like this and bet his friends that he could lose the trail

the answer is pepper. he was able to get the dog to lose his scent by running into a hanger covered in pepper which he prepared earlier that day

as strong as a dogs nose is, its no good if its constantly sneezing

  • Nope, jamie tried that. Dog wen't right through it and kept on going... If anything it cleared out the mucus in the dogs nose so it could smell the trail better...

  • Wow exerps, how about the actual show?

  • I've always thought that was pretty awesome, hell, even the German Shepard has over 2,000,000 nerve endings in it's nose, bloodhounds are more stimulative and active, which is awesome.

  • Maybe if you never touch anything, your skin flakes won't adhere to the plants?

Or maybe you could scrub your body and shower, before running away?

  • which happens a lot when you just escape from jail. Simply shower and scrub on the run lol

  • lol Adam looked like he freaked out for half a second at the end when the dog found him

  • Good dog! I loved how well the handler praised his friend...the dog actually seemed to love his job!

  • the dog would smell him out. most of the time he was being tracked the dog couldnt see him but followed his scent trail

  • st bernards were originally used and bred by the st bernard monks to help navigate snow covered mountains and to find and rescue people completely buried in snow so the answer to ur question is yes dogs could find what they cant see

  • a ghillie suit would have absolutely no effect, most dogs dont hunt by sight, its virtually all scent. if the guy had JARS of his own sweat and spread them everywhere he might manage to confuse a tracking dog, at least for a few minutes.

  • This would not confuse a tracking dog. It has been proven that just about the only thing that can throw a tracking dog off is an urban environment, and even then; only for a little while.

  • or you can just throw your clothes away somewhere and go the other direction

then have jars of your saliva to spread around

  • so what if adam had worn a full skin tight suit that only has 2 holes for breathing, would the dog pick him up then?

  • im pretty sure it would still smell a little like him, and dogs can detect smells at remarkably small amounts. it would be a much harder trail to track but im sure a scent hunting dog could do it.

  • yeah, i saw a documentary about trained dogs being able to smell cancer in breath. a woman's breath was taken via breathing into a sealed plastic box, it was left for 5 years and then put on the ground next to four other boxes. the dog detected the correct box. i don't know what the dog could smell in the box, but the point is they have very sensitive smell.

  • I'm thinking, moisture and saliva from his breath would leave a scent.

    Dogs can smell ANYTHING!

  • Dogs are a better judge os a person's character than we are. You can bet if Morgan thought this 'criminal' was a threat he wouldn't be licking him!

  • I would think kissing the convict would be frowned upon. :D

  • Oh yeah well Cool hand Luke did it with pepper

  • run little buddy run! lol

  • SWEEt but would jumping in a lake help like to clean off you smell and trick the dog?

  • Not really no... you woudn't get that clean.

To give you an idea how sensitive a dog's nose is: drug-sniffing dogs at the border customs sense the smell of where a courtier has been sitting, if he's carrying drug within hos body... that is to say, even though the drugs are wrapped in condoms and pushed up his bum, there is still enough smell left that it will be a imprint on the seat, enough for the dog to find it.

  • only if you swam across it and it was wide enough

  • sweet,,

  • Don't be dumb....they weren't restricting it to one type of dog...just proving it could be done period...

  • Ok what if adam jumped from one spot to the next?, the trail would stop and the dog would have to find where it started again. Or what if adam climbed a tree and traveled along trees the whole time, jumping from one to the next, dogs cant climb trees, so it would not be able to follow the trail.

  • what if he cant jump from tree to tree if he jumped across a gap though they dog wouldnt find him until he got on the other side

  • adam crossed the river

  • Yea cause it so easy to jump from tree to another and the dog would sniff out the gap in the trail

  • blood cell particles fall from your body to the floor making again a trail

  • Cells are still falling off his body when he's jumping. He'll still leave a single trail. As for the tree, the dog will track the convict to the tree and bring the police with him/her. Then, the police can bring the convict down from the there.

  • Then Adam would be spiderman....

  • Just jumping to the side is not good enough. Any tracking dog worth his/her salt just starts doing bigger and bigger circles until they find the track again. And you can't jump that far anyway.

  • one of my favorite tv shows. but they don't show it in India anymore... YOUTUBE ROCKS!!!

  • youtube sucks actually with all the copyright infringement shit. it's only with these official channels that you can actually watch something decent anymore.

youtube was way better when it first came out.

  • @TheMasterKai dont blame it on youtube, it kills them more than the user to take down these videos. although they are partially responsible for taking down videos that dont belong to the proper company they do their best to get rid of videos that can get them sued.

in other words if the companies around the world would loosen up and take every video as an advertisement to their product rather than a bash down, we'd have more videos.

  • smart and trained dog =D love them

  • Bloodhounds are the best dogs

  • what about when it rains?

  • Then it washes off your dead skin cells and they fall on the ground making a trail.

  • love this comment

  • Only two were correct.

  • Bet they cant bust chemtrails..

  • What about cocaine? no practical way to do that experiment on myth busters for obvious reasons, ( maybe on Mexican myth busters) but I wonder if that would mess up a dogs sense of smell???

  • LOL

  • if you could it enough to make it high of something. but you're not gonna fool the dog. the key is fooling the handler. make him think the dog is interested in something else, like a flock of birds or some meat.

  • One good method of confusing your trail is to backtrack and then take on a different direction leaving a fork in the road for the dog.

  • The dog would likely pick up on the most recent trail more readily...

  • If you had gone up river really far then it would have worked.

  • what about the red herring? If i remember correctly, it leaves a strong scent behind so if Adam had crossed a river/stream and a red herring had swam across where Adam crossed, his scent would almost go dead.

  • Is that where the term came from? :o

  • Yes.

  • Not quite. "Red herring" is a term for kipper - a herring that has been killed, salted and smoked. So yes, it was used to confuse a trail and that's where the term comes from, but it would not be swimming anywhere near Adam, or indeed at all.

  • I wonder if they could find you if you snorkled up a river?

  • U no a marker that has smell on it. let ur dog snif it heel make such a funny face XD

  • you dont deserve a dog than you fucking cruel retard i hope you or your children become a retard because of your actions... what if i stuck pepper spray up your ass and let it go off?

  • I heard you can pour pepper behind you to throw him off.

  • Nah, they busted that one in the same episode--the dog still found Adam and didn't sneeze or anything. He also tried zigzagging, crossing a river, changing into a different set of clothes, rubbing coffee grounds all over himself to smell different (yes, really!)...the only time the dog had trouble was when Adam went into an urban environment and there were too many competing scents for the dog to stay on his trail.

  • I don't recall them testing adam running a ways up river like a logical person would.

  • It probably wouldn't have done any good anyway. As I recall, the dog follows a trail left in the air instead of on the ground, so if Adam had waded upstream then the dog would have followed his path. Unless it got too deep for the dog, I guess.

  • thats why you dont run from the police lol the'll get ya

  • Well, my cats and dogs AHTE the smell of deodorant..try that?

  • omg they played hide and go seek funny!

  • take your own advice dipshit

  • Aparently if you put peper or something on the ground they would sniff that and screw up there senses.

  • mythbustrs tryed it but it as busted.

  • Oh I have no seen this episode, so thats why I thought I might say it. Did they try Cayneen powder or what ever it is? That stuff is hot as and makes dogs sick as.

  • no. they tryed peper though

  • Hm fair enough. Not like a convict would have Cayneen powder/peper any how. lol

  • you'll probably never beat the dog at hide and seek

  • I have a beagle and I hide and he ALWAYS!! finds me. It is neat hoe their noses are so good.

  • Good dog.

  • hey kids go and hide, i'll count to a thousand. lol
