really touching.. life sometimes changes abruptly that you won't ever know what's going to happen. It can provides us with various aspect of reality. Love this show. I personally think that the affection between Brian and Micheal is far strong beyond friends; maybe they are not the destined in the right time. It's undeniable both of them put each other inside a vital part of the heart.
Although I prefer C/M, C/J did makes a good story line.
I just adore that the final song was 'Proud', the same song that played when Michael and Brian were on the ledge of the hospital balcony together. This song will always be one I relate to this show, to Michael and Brian, and to the twists and turns their lives took over the years. Love it. <3

WHY ON EARTH WASN'T JUSTIN THERE??? i can't think of a single good reason for the writers not to have included him in the very last scene of the show...
I liked this last scene, but when Babylon suddenly appears in full glory again, I think the perfect ending would have been to make it clear that a year or so has passed and have Justin come in and he and Brian lock eyes and smile. That would have given a better sense of finality.

I remember watching this in 10th grade lol. I finally got Showtime and got sucked into QAF during the last season. I thought this scene was perfect. Of course I had to go back and watch the series and I have to say it's one of the best shows ever. Well one of the best remade shows.

I don't see why people are mad and dislike Justin for leaving Brian. You all saw it. Brian was changing himself in order to make Justin happy. Honestly, is the cuddly-no-sex suburban housewife Brian Kinney the same one we all fell in love with? I don't think so and Justin doesn't either. Justin was damn smart for not going through with it. He would have not only sacrificed his future, but Brian Kinney's self. This was for the best. Besides, want another QAF? Justin won't even be there so why?
I don't get why some don't like the ending. It made me dance and smile. I know people wanted everyone to be together, especially B/J but like the show basically said, that's not who they were. Let's face it, it's Brian Kinney! It's not what some wanted, but that's life, no regrets no apologies. In the end, that's what makes it more realistic. Based on the characters and the situation, Brian settling down? Both their sacrifices and no one would be happy in the end. Not truly.

Justin was caught up in the bomb at Babylon. He was ok, Brian proposed to him but they couldn't actually get married as it wasn't true to who they were. Justin moved to New York to pursue his career but said he would meet Brian again
QAF did not end the way most of us would've wanted to, but that is the main point of it, by the words of the thumpa thumpa continues it means life continues and just as life, there is no ending to be for sure, anything can happen, besides that, I think it was an open ending so we could keep thinking about it, imagine our own end, if it would've ended happy or sad we would've prolly forgotten about it, but it left its mark in us i gueess, to me is ended but not forgotten.
hacome Showtime doesnt air this anymore? i know the series ended but still...they can atleast show reruns or put it on Demand they need to be more like HBO ...HBO is still showing some of their old shows like Sex and the city and OZ.
When I watched this on a Netflix DVD, I held onto the DVD for a few days and kept watching this scene over and over because I just didn't want the experience to end. The show meant a lot to me and helped me come out. I still miss it.

being openly gay is a beautiful thing :) somthing that is hard to do at first, but then is somthing that is like poping a balloon filled with colored air, the color is now there and not in a shell. you are yourself. you are who you want to be, who you are born to be, who you are made to be :)
This was all about going full circle. Brian is still in love with Justin, but for now, he's going to dance to his own tune and wait until Justin re-enters his life. This ending made me just swell with love and pride for this show. Every character shown going onward to their paths. And Brian dancing...so chilling.
I dont understand why people want to see Brian and Michael as a couple...that was never the point of their relationship. They are best friends - its a different relationship that brought a different vibe to the show that would be completely absent if they had been in a relationship. This scene, and Brian dancing with Justin as the prom are by far the 2 most meaningful scenes to me from this series. This was a truly amazing series.

I would hope many fans not only pay attention to the sex scenes, but the writing and message of the show! Let's face it, it's Brian Kinney! It's not what some wanted, but that's life, no regrets no apologies. In the end, that's what makes it more realistic. Based on the characters and the situation, Brian settling down? Both their sacrifices and no one would be happy in the end. Not truly.

Justin was caught up in the bomb at Babylon. He was ok, Brian proposed to him but they couldn't actually get married as it wasn't true to who they were. Justin moved to New York to pursue his career but said he would meet Brian again

QAF did not end the way most of us would've wanted to, but that is the main point of it, by the words of the thumpa thumpa continues it means life continues and just as life, there is no ending to be for sure, anything can happen, besides that, I think it was an open ending so we could keep thinking about it, imagine our own end, if it would've ended happy or sad we would've prolly forgotten about it, but it left its mark in us i gueess, to me is ended but not forgotten.

When I watched this on a Netflix DVD, I held onto the DVD for a few days and kept watching this scene over and over because I just didn't want the experience to end. The show meant a lot to me and helped me come out. I still miss it.

Ridiculous I think. I love love the serie but this end...god Justin should be here anyway in the end that is the first very stupid thing, and i think it should appear at least an end with justin and brian old and together that way we could be sure they were together in the very end. I get the all idea but it would be just easier for me to accept it that way if they show them in the end. So i cry in this end but not because it's beautiful i cry because it's very sad.

This was all about going full circle. Brian is still in love with Justin, but for now, he's going to dance to his own tune and wait until Justin re-enters his life. This ending made me just swell with love and pride for this show. Every character shown going onward to their paths. And Brian dancing...so chilling.

I dont understand why people want to see Brian and Michael as a couple...that was never the point of their relationship. They are best friends - its a different relationship that brought a different vibe to the show that would be completely absent if they had been in a relationship. This scene, and Brian dancing with Justin as the prom are by far the 2 most meaningful scenes to me from this series. This was a truly amazing series.

I think it was an ultimately happy ending. I think Brian was finally able to stand up as a fully realized man. Emotional, vulnerable, sucsessful, and in love. Plus, like the rest of us, sometimes dancing it out by yourself is the best liberation

Ending is sad with Brian dancing on his own, so symbolic.
Atleast Brian kept the rings & realises his love for justin. Maybe one day the will reunite but 4 now Brian goes back to his old ways.
Brian didn't want justin to sacrifice his career and justin didn't want brian to becum sum1 he wasn't even though a small part of brian did want mariage.
Too bad the writers didn't satisfy the hearts of the viewers

I love how they dance together with the lights shining in their hair and the glitter falling down, just like Brian said it would.
I love the fact that "Proud" is their song, just like it was back in the very first episode when they kissed on top of that building.
Really, I just love EVERYTHING about this scene. It's so beautiful I cried the first time I saw it.

I agree with jazma 100% , i never knew a show could impact me as much as this one did.
The whole fact that it made me not feel so out there and that people actually think as i do about the same issues you face just trying to be happy.
It made my life seem practical and not such a weird life , it brought normality to the never ending struggle it is to be gay.
As well it inspired me to not give a fuck anymore!

I would hope many fans not only pay attention to the sex scenes, but the writing and message of the show! Like on this episode when Michael was giving that speech and he pointed out all the genderbenders, trannys, etc. I was like RIGHT ON!!! Because that is who we are. I hate how the married homos want the spotlight, when it is us who is driving the bus! PROUD QUEER!
