A) She is depicted as a man - seemingly to appear stronger in finally standing up and not coming back, perhaps irony for line "Even though I'm a woman"

B) His/Her Black eye

C) Considering above, gives new meaning to lyrics for me. I'd certainly love/miss someone more when I'd left them and the bad times fade, than if I stay and get hit.
