@2002ls1ss i personally think it tastes much better than the smell. in fact, i think the taste is incredible. as far as why someone would invent it, it was likely an accident. and of course, you should keep in mind it was the germans and belgians (i think it was origianlly belgian, but the germans took it and ran). expect no less from the lovers of sour kraut. that being said, to each their own. let them like it if they like it. as for me, i love it.
Limburger cheese smells like shit and dirty feet but it taste alot better than what it smells like. strong dark beer or wine go excellent with limburger cheese.
Sheep intestinal enzymes? If this was in bold print on the labeling no one would buy it.
