I still support handing this land fill of money greedy fucks back to the Mexico, let them try and make a profit in that government. Too bad this plan only works for cars, and maybe buses. We need to have denser communities along these transportation corridors, so that instead of a tolled highway, we can have rail, which uses less land, and is probably cheaper than having two highways stacked on top of each other. That probably makes too much sense though.

@onionofdeath they are doing rail as well, the Fort Worth T and the DART rail are going to be running along side these highways and they will both connect at DFW airport so you can soon take the train rather then drive all the time

So, in order to compensate for the fact that we are too shortsighted to collect taxes equal to necessary expenditures like new freeways, we need to pay extra for these roads in order to fund a private tollroad company's profit?

Build more MASS TRANSIST SYSTEM like in Europe and other developed countries. These type of wastefull spending will not get us anywhere in the long run. We do need better highways, but now is the time to think about creating mass transist system. America lack that, because we want to feed our oil giants like EXXON. Gues how much profit they mad in 2011? A mere 56 Billion.....

Funny thing. Texas proposed to have basically its own super highway system by not only adding to the freeways, but creating highspeed rail to run along the highways, connecting the Texas Triangle (DFW, Houston, San Antonio/Austin).

But because of controversy and a lot of pissed off land owners, it's not happening. Well, not in it's ORIGINAL plan, anyway....

That's nothing. Houston has the worlds largest freeway,(i10) I10 is finished and it has 26 lanes with a tollway in the middle. Texas has tolled bw8 and it's like almost only eztag. And we have the most highest ramps and complex system in America. Were the example dumbass!

@adrianroam95 - DUHH!, in the intro the narrator is speaking about highway systems in general, therefore the different shots of different highways across North America are shown. One shot is even of a highway in Atlanta. Only after the intro is the "FRICKEN" subject directed at the highway systems across Texas, to be exact...
