  • Those weren't even power shots, that's just pathetic.

  • the fight was very close but I'm going to have to give it to ramirez

  • Pure power

  • omg fat fucks always thinking their strong

  • random fact.thomas Ramirez wrote protest letters to art davie complaining about not being considered for the ufc 6 and 7 tournaments.

  • Thomas Ramirez tu Hall Of Fame

  • Ramirez looked like as if he choked on a pretzal

  • "What though I conquer my enemies, and lay up store and pelf, I am a conqueror poor indead, 'till I subdue myse.. hey are those jelly-filled??"

  • back when men were men.

  • Who were the 500 fighters that Ramirez beat?

  • lmao he did't even tough him

  • o famoso queixo de vidro

  • Fat fuck fell victim to The Predator.

  • I think Ramirez would've done better if he had eaten like 10 cheeseburgers before this fight.

  • @chuckyko He probably ate more.

  • ufc-8. were d days. no rules!

  • Frye ate a big jab from Ramirez

  • is that Big John? wow, he look so young here.

  • don frye killed him lol

  • Don't fuck with the porno stache

  • so this is what the UFC used to be..

  • @StephenHardyMusic

Yeah it was a joke. You had a couple of real fighters mixed in with 'tough guys'.

I remember a guy called Pat Stewart(?) mounted a 10th dan ninja guy and rained blows down on him - which just really messed up his face. Pat stopped himself and you could see he was pissed at the guy's corner because they didnt throw in the towel and the ref was a tad too slow.

Really unprofessional. It brought the importance of jijitsu forward (even though it was biased)

  • @branni79 Frye is wearing gloves...

  • @fredfinks prolly pat smith

  • lmao how big john tackles fry..!

  • I was expecting a brutal ground and pound post unconciousness like every mma faggot mma fighter with an insecurity issue does. classy move by frye.

  • @VCthaGOATdunker you've gotta be trolling LOL

  • @jacksedit

Do you even understand what I said? If so, explain to me.

  • @VCthaGOATdunker Trolololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololol

  • @Absintheeeeee

Is that what your EX girlfriend said after you took off your pants?

  • the top comments... roflmao.

  • Tom Selleck wins by KO

  • @TeHGoodReverend flawless victory to boot lol

  • @Priorboy Yup :D

  • @Priorboy its not flawless,Don gets hit exchanging the first blow....do your homework before posting a comment!

  • Danm! John McCarthy flying across the cage and tackling you off a guy while you are engaged?

  • @ramrod20042000 That's his job, he saw the guy was knocked out, so it's his job to protect from any unnecessary damage. Welcome to MMA.

  • @TacticalGearJunkie At the risk of injuring the other fighter? Learn how to stop a fight probably John McCarthy! The best one through, was when he ran full speed across the cage and tackled Frank Mir off of Was Sims at UFC 46. Mir did a back flip and could have broke his neck.

  • @ramrod20042000 I agree, I'd rather see the Ref stand back and let the fighter kill the other fighter, be more entertaining.

  • he woke up "time to eat?"

  • The good ol' days of UFC LOL!!!

  • 240p we meet again...

  • Predator rulez!

  • Don Frye was soooooo much better when he wasn't roided up. I think more fans probably liked him then than in his later career as he was a more 'normal' hero than some beefed up yeehaw

  • "Ramirez! Break Don Frye's fist with your face!"

  • Did he died?

  • He almost had 'im

  • LOL

  • Early stoppage! He was still moving, kinda.

  • How is Don Fry not in the UFC HOF?

  • Thomas Ramirez and his excellent display of the "Fallen Elephent" fighting style.

  • don frye was the man back in the day 3 time UFC heavy weight champ before it got all gay due to dana

  • ramirez knocked out facial expression says: "i need me a bag of chips"

  • It was something like 200 island fights lol. Guess Frye was not on the island.

  • Back when UFC didn't suck

  • I understand the frustration with watching 15 minutes of passive lay and pray, but would you still be a fan if you had to pay money to watch guys like this with zero ability getting mopped up in under 5 seconds?

You got to be a little less jaded. Don't pretend every match is Silva-Maia or Shields-Kampmann nor demand every match be a classic like Garcia-Jung I or Pettis-Henderson.

  • I always wondered what was going on in the UFC's heads when they got this fat, no-talent, unintimidating lard ass to fight in the main draw. Total fail.

  • Don Frye is my hero. Gotta love dat 'stache.

  • fucking dana white he turned UFC into fucking soap opera worse than WWE

  • @intrax3000

You know if it wasn't for zuffa, the UFC would have been dead since it was on the verge of bankruptcy at the time it was bought by them.

  • It's freddie Mercury, it's Tom Selleck nah it's Don Frye bitch!

  • nice

  • @KlanMan800 Yeah, but the sport had to start somewhere. The fighters didn't have MMA down to a science back then, they were just doing the best they could with what they had. Don Frye was actually one of the first examples of someone who could both strike and grapple with some effectiveness back in the day.

It's amazing how quickly the sport evolves, though. There's a big difference between the fighters now and the fighters five years ago.

  • @ThePinkMan fuck up u write to much no 1 even read

  • Frye looks like "Man at Arms" from MOTU ^^

He jsut needs that cheesy helmet :)

  • @KlanMan800

Yh definately. People are more educated now and are better fighters. Everyone trains all aspects of the fight game as well now.

  • DEAD

Dident Frye have had professional boxing training??

    Lol? challenging a boxer?

  • @PriusRider yes, boxe, judo and wrestling: he was one of the first cross-trainers.

  • Makes you wonder why Don doesn't compete these days. He has more than it takes to handle the likes of Jon Jones and Machida.

  • @berw00d ...HAHAH the new hybrid fighters nowdays would TERMINATE him , just like every1 said shogun rua would smash jones ...and matt hamill would smash jones , but no he threw the wrestler around like a kid , only lost the fight due to illegal strikes , i can guarentee jones would smash frye now , and would have if he was still prime

  • @berw00d u gotta be kidding me ,dude ..stop IT,whatever IT is :D

  • can vs can = can wins

  • @malishmalishin dumbass don frye is no can and is a legend in mma you moron. dont talk what you have no knowledge about

  • @babyface0514 hes a can, and everybody knows it, he has a beautiful mustache tho.

  • I predict mustache by KO in the lst round

  • Pride was great.

  • Knocked with his eyes open....

  • MUSTACHE KO

  • the problem is that ramirez had the flu that day

  • Fucking love Don Frye, true American! And I am from London lol..

  • i remember this that Ramirez dudeclaimed to be like a 1000 - 0. but my guess its thats him vs double whoppers with cheese from Burger King

  • @filthynumber1 A rule of thumb is when someone claims that many fights, the actual number tends to be pretty close to zero.

  • LOL i bet that dude wishes he was still in his borricia

  • How come after every K.O, the Ref unnecisarily tackles the fighter really hard 0:13

  • Somebody that big shouldnt be getting knocked out by arm punches from somebody half his size. Even if it is Don Frye. Thomas Ramirez, I hope this was your last attempt at a sport which requires some type of chin resistance.

  • @IceveinsProductions Size has nothing to do with it.

  • Haha, thought that was Freddy Mercury :D

  • I love the old days but UFC of todays is awsome.

  • dont fuck with mike haggar!!!!!!!!!

  • Dan Frye...a true pioneer of MMA. First to wear gloves in the cage. First to add his amatuer boxing, D1 Wrestling and brutal chokes.

  • I'm really confused about all the fat guys in early UFC. Did they think this was a comic book where being fat gives you powers? Had none of them fought a real live adult before? It made sense when i was 12, but looking back, what the hell was the selection process?

  • @p6867 the first participants signed up by responding to an ad in black belt magazine

  • Beast

  • Well done frye for not doing a Henderson

  • Damn Frye was small here

  • i would like the see Big Jon Mccarthy fight

  • Thomas Ramirez takes a punch better than Brock Lesnar.

  • I like the baby punch at the end. Good job on Frye for not throwing unnecessary punches.

  • was that a fight? the guy knocked hisself out by giving hisself a nalgazo. palo! al piso.

  • This rodriguez sausage is a fucking morron, why he except go fight ''en la lucha libré puto, con los bolleros consaguinnos'' Pelotudo !!!!

  • that guy was a puss don murdered this guy

  • I miss the old UFC. They need to throw the gloves away and allow the hits that are illegal now. I loved the old tapes, but they're going to make themselves into professional wrestling in another 10 years.

  • today's UFC is just a bunch of boring wrestler who dry hump each other for 15 minutes. If I ever have to see john fitch fight again im gonna pluck out my eyes

  • @bbv001 LMAO good point.

  • OWNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED

  • WHALE ON THE BEACH....WHALE ON THE BEACH.

  • lol! any one els notice thomas smile alittle when the ref was checking to see if he was ok? kinda disturbing.

  • (lol) look at that hunk of shit lay against the fence

  • That guy has the best chin I ever seen

  • I was eating strawberry hello

  • Paladindarknite. Even if what you said had truth to it, which it does, it completely lost all merit when you started chirpin bs. Pathetic dude

  • everyone always kos that guy

  • I think he died.

  • Lol one of the quickest fights I've ever seen.

  • Didn't look that hard of a punch, but if it's right on the chin and Don Frye delivering it....

  • thats what i call a good old-fashioned American knock out punch from one of the legends of mma.

  • lol !!!

  • what a far piece of SHIT!!!!!

  • Don Frye= 100% man

  • they should pull his penis out and put a clip on it - then tuck it back in his pants. fans would go crazy

  • Don Fry is a real man, thats the one of very few americans i really respect

  • You can tell that first punch to frye pissed him off

  • I see fat Puerto Ricans like that all around my neighborhood actin all tough, I would hope that Don Frye came around

  • @sisudo21 Don't forget big Asians. If you see a big Asian call Don Frye.

  • @sisudo21 Don Frye would shove the will of America up their ass

  • Comment removed

  • This is what happens when you train in mcdojos and pay for your black belts instead of earning them.

  • Don Frye for president. After this and the Takayama fight , he deserves to rule the world, haha.

  • @grandebolas1 I believe the fat Mexican you're referring to is a Puerto Rican.

  • just cus his last name is ramirez dont make him a mexican u fuckin dike on a bike

  • @grandebolas1 actually he is from Puerto rico ( fat dude)

  • @grandebolas1 hey man no need to mention hes mexican, dosent matter

  • @grandebolas1 Hes Puerto rican not Mexican.

  • @grandebolas1 Hes Puerto rican not Mexican. But yes, he did make him wear panties.lol

  • @grandebolas1 the dude is puerto rican bruh

  • DFon Frye clearly whipped his ass, but he did step right into that jab in the very beginning. If the other guy hap the KO power that Don had, he would of been Ko'd..

  • From a jab? I doubt it. Tank Abbott landed a straight left punch that knocked Frye down, but it didn't knock him out.

  • Don Frye can take knock out punches and shrug them off. It's one of the reasons he's a formidable fighter.

  • @amdturion123 Not really. Depends on Frye's chin as much as it does the power the other guy.

  • yeah old ufc was great, it was more international meaning more styles plus there were a lot of people who in their own minds were very though. it was great seeing them getting destroyed

  • @hallmonitor98 What I loved about old UFC was that it was the closest thing to a real life Street Fighter game. You'd actually see a Karate guy in a gi fighting a sumo wrestler, or a kickboxer fighting someone trained purely in greco roman wrestling.

  • @hallmonitor98 I agree, UFC won't let anyone fight for them unless they have total control over their careers, which is why Fedor has never bothered with them. And now that MMA is kind of a martial art in itself, often it just seems most people are clones and you don't see any really unique contestants anymore. It's partly because they are all more rounded in different areas, but would be nice to see more more unique fighters.

  • @splattyfish bullshit, mma is not i repeat not a fucking martial art~ are you like what? 12? 14? only a fucking kid like you would say shit like that, FUCK MMA AS A MARTIAL ART! ASSHOLES LIKE I HAVE NO FUCKING RESPECT IN THIS WORLD~ FUCK YOURE OLD MAN TOO~

  • @paladindarknite you mad

  • @paladindarknite yeah no shit it's not a martial art, it's various martial arts used in unison, hence the name "MIXED martial artS" get it?

  • @paladindarknite Ok I didn't mean martial art - it definitely is not a martial art as a martial art is about self defence and self cultivation etc, and deadly attacks in situations without rules - what I meant is MMA has went from lots of different styles clashing in the earliest days to now being a bunch of clones who wrestle and grapple and fight the same as each other under the same rules. I agree with you it is no way a martial art, more like a kind of wrestling.

  • @splattyfish A martial art is any art that can be used in real combat. That's all.

I'm sorry, but today's fighters would fucking kill just about everyone who showed up in the early days of MMA.

  • @MrCreepy92 You say that, but many ahtletics records like the long jump have gone unbeaten for many years, (long jump was in the 1980s), and if we have improved so much then why do records like that go unbeaten by today's athletes? I don't think fighters have got a lot tougher, they are just better all rounders as they learnt from the early UFC etc that Jujitsu is important.

  • @MrCreepy92 Also, MMA fighters train themselves not to do anything which would break the rules, and this has to become a natural reaction otherwise they would not be successful, (e.g. elbowing or kneeing on the ground, headbutting etc), whereas in a self defence situation you would not consider any rules, and their natural instincts to sticking to these rules could inhibit them in a real life no rules fight.

  • @splattyfish Ask Roger Huerta how much having no rules inhibited him.

  • @splattyfish Actually, no, it doesn't take much brain power to remember not to kick someone in the nuts or gouge their eyes out. And it doesn't take much brain power to throw all those "rules" out the window. FYI, even back in the days of true Vale Tudo fights, biting and eye gouging weren't as much of a fight ender. Just ask Yuki Nakai...

  • @MrCreepy92 really hmmm.. ex. royce gracie vs matt hughes...point proven... ex.2 tito ortiz vs ken shamrock...point proven..again... n shamrock is 1 of my favorites of all time so there is no bias-just facts, the more you know the more you can do

  • @babyface0514 I agree with your overall point, but a near middle aged Ken Shamrock vs. Tito is a bad example. Ken in his roided up prime (when he beat Severin) would have been more than a match for Tito and because of his superior submission skills, I think Ken would have beaten him.

  • @hallmonitor98

of course, it's always better seeing one dimensional cans beat up bums in 8 seconds than watching multi dimensional top notch athlethes executing a technichal yet fun fight

  • @hallmonitor98 i'm sort of new to this sport...when did it go bad to you?

  • @bigjohnstud75 it didn't go bad, just changed that's all. go watch some ufc between 1-10 and compare them to the ufc now

  • @hallmonitor98 alright i'll do that...thanks.

  • owned

  • That idiot Ramirez got KO in 8 sec!!! What an embarrassment for the Latino community

  • hes not an embarassment because he is unknown

  • @Villesanti that has NOTHING to do with "latino community".

He was hardly in shape at all, and I even bet that he didn't have that much experience in striking.

Today, the thick and heavy guys at least know how to defend. Take Rothwell. He is very heavy, if not to say fat, but he has trained a lot, so it is ok.

Early UFC had more people who were clueless. Today, it has become professional (but i still miss early UFC because at least you saw more styles used, and had less rules ...)

  • Dude, the problem is that I was there. Actually I am from his home town too and being the only Puerto Rican represented it was a real shame! I too miss the old UFC :)

  • @ Villesanti

Yea that fat fucking welfare mexican got dropped like a pile of shit !

  • What was Thomas Ramirez's style suppose to be?

  • Comment removed

  • Fat men don't have style.
