Funny. I especially like the bit (pun :/) around 0:40. My cat does this to shoelaces as I'm tying my boots. She also makes off with important things, gloves in particular, and then stashes them. Cats seem to have a slew of idiosyncrasies.
Because of this I've though about getting another cat to keep her stimulated, although this video seems to debunk that specious theory. Do these two keep each other busy -- out of sight, out of mind?
Anyway, back to my studies...no more watching your videos.
Not so much as religion being the problem. People are the problem. Come take a walk with me sometimes on these streets and see for yourselve. Rich and or poor.
Liberation theology may be accurately defined as a western attempt to return to the gospel of the early church where Christianity is politically and culturally decentralized. [8]
Liberation theology proposes to fight poverty by addressing its supposed source: sin. In so doing, it explores the relationship between Christian theology — especially Roman Catholic theology — and political activism, especially in terms of social justice, poverty, and human rights.
@QuantumQuacks what you are saying is mostly true, but all current organisms on this planet are equally "evolved" in the sense that they all developed out of lower species. In one human lifespan a lowly bacterium can undergo several generations of evolution. It's tricky, but yeah cats are primarily carnivores but they will eat plants if necessary (or curious).
Amazing all this game, for something which can be fixed in a matter of days and hours. Just amazing. I will leave this account open long enough for you to read the PM
That's what you get for having Bengals. My sister and her boyfriend have three, and they team up to enter cupboards to steal treats, steal food, knock things over - it's hilarious.
funny Eckhart Tolle the Buddhist philosopher and Oprah guest talks about animals as way of living in the "now" have you read his books? Buddhist lite with a touch of philosophy. Love ya!
I like cats, however I disagree with people who think they are smarter than dogs. hey don't do tricks because they are too dumb to, not because they are smart enough to know better. Dogs rules, except for the pooping and peeing anywhere they like, and having to walk them, that I don't like. Cat's at least use a litter box. Don't make them smarter though ;)
cats don't do tricks because they are not pack animals. Dogs do tricks to please the alpha male or alpha female. Cats may or may not be more intelligent, but tricks have very little relevance to their intelligence.
That's true, but they can still learn small tricks. The little one in the video can "sit" on command because I taught her with treats, and it took about about an hour to learn. Haven't taught her anything else tho :)
I've always said that I don't trust people who claim to be elusively a "cat person" or exclusively a "dog person" because my intuition demands that that sort of mentality often reflects their general treatment of people. It demonstrates an "us verses them" view that often substitutes actually learning specifics about each person as an individual with biased hate.
Thank you for supporting my hypothesis by providing persuasive & direct, albeit disturbing, evidence for my aforementioned hunch.
Maybe you'd have a point if anything I said depended on whether or not you own a pet of any kind.
But lets be honest, I really don't need any sort of inductive model at all to tell you're a bigoted dipshit. With comments like that, you might as well carry around a neon sign flashing the words "insecure bigoted prick" and an arrow pointing down at your hate addled brain pan.
cats are a highly evolved species. it may true that SOME cat owners can be weird from the stereotype of the "crazy cat lady", but if you think that's true of all of them then you are a very narrow minded fuck. all animals are interesting for different reasons.
Aren't you, by automatically distrusting a person claiming one way or the other, in effect, guilty of the same sort of prejudice which you feel those people are guilty of?
I like dogs and cats, but I definitely prefer cats. They are more independant, they don't try to lick my face everytime I see them, and they don't demand as much of my attention. I just like them better, and would probably call myself a "cat person" because of that. I don't see the harm in having a preference.
What amazing looking cat's. I like their eye's and markings are really cool. Are you going to make any more Sexy for Philosophy video's and I'm big fan of your music video's few of them I save in my Favorite. I think your amazing also.
i used to have a cat some years ago and its idea of playing was to roll on its back. to make you tink that it wanted its belly tickled and then lock its claws and teeth in the whoever falls for its routine. the niebours used to fall for it everytime and complain. thats what we had to put up with. yours are just playing.
Orh they're really adorable. =) Makes me feel a little bad that my cat doesn't have another cat to play with. Guess he'll just have to make do with me and the other humans in the family. =p
Your cats are so beautiful, they remind me of a wild cheetah's. I use to have three cats a few years ago and I really enjoyed having them. Thanks for sharing:)
Many animals can recognize their reflections quite well, not sure about cats... what they do to test it is paint (well, probably not with real paint, not sure what) a very visible red dot on the animal's forehead right above it's eyes, and if it looks at itself in a mirror for a long time it's because it knows the red dot isn't normally there.
"They seem to not take interest in thier reflection."
At a guess, I would say it might be similar to learned helplessness. If you put a preditory fish in a tank with a removable partition, and fill the other section with it's prey, it will only try to eat them a few times before it learns it can't get by the glass... if you then remove the glass it still won't try to eat the prey animals as they swim around.
This may be rare behavior among cats, but I think it's persuasive evidence that at least my cats recognize their reflection as themselves.
If I stand behind my cats while they look at me through a mirror (They can't see me in their peripheral vision) & I silently wave, they always turn around to look directly at me. This suggests that they see themselves & recognize that my action is occurring behind them. If they did not perceive the image as themselves, what would be the impetus for turning?
Close. Ocelots being native to the tropical areas of the Americas, and more closely related to leopards and lions.
The "Bengal" nickname here is the giveaway. Therefore Asian. And presumably interbred with domestic cats, so a close relative. (And therefore a close relative of the African wild cat too). My guess is Leopard Cat of tropical Asia. (Not related to leopards, but similar markings.)
Just curious if they're hybrids or throwbacks, basically.
Oh it's just interbreeding between the house cat and the Asian leopard... the ones that become pets are usually three or four generations removed. Must be pretty cool to have so many wild visitors! I wish I did.
Animals are great and these beautiful creatures are a joy to behold. It makes me wonder why anyone would want to eat animal protein. If the tables were turned would you enjoy seeing humans on a rack or sealed in plastic wrap inside of a display cabinet? A breast of human for $3.49 a pound without preservatives. Baby livers, $2.49 a pound on sale at Publix Supermarket!

Very cool markings. Look a lot like the African Wild Cat that we get around here. They become quite tame if food is abundant.
Are these bred to regress to the aboriginal type or are they from wild Asian stock?
P.S. You know that you're advertising your loneliness, right?
