  • FOREVER!

  • ahh, gorgeous animales. i love how they have a concerned look on their face.

  • @existentialistcat

You need to vacuum that floor. :")

  • I FUCKING LOVE RATATAT

  • Funny. I especially like the bit (pun :/) around 0:40. My cat does this to shoelaces as I'm tying my boots. She also makes off with important things, gloves in particular, and then stashes them. Cats seem to have a slew of idiosyncrasies.

Because of this I've though about getting another cat to keep her stimulated, although this video seems to debunk that specious theory. Do these two keep each other busy -- out of sight, out of mind?

Anyway, back to my studies...no more watching your videos.

  • 1:48 that cat reminds me of garfield checking out lasagna or something... o.O

  • Cute kittehz! :D Are they some special race? They look just like little cheetahs <3

  • LOL!!!

  • Gotta love cats!

  • Nice spots on that one, and colors. What breed are those?

  • cute =3

  • Hey stop being a punk on most of your videos and allow people to comment and speak their mind without being censored by your fine azz!

  • @QuantumQuacks what you are saying is mostly true, but all current organisms on this planet are equally "evolved" in the sense that they all developed out of lower species. In one human lifespan a lowly bacterium can undergo several generations of evolution. It's tricky, but yeah cats are primarily carnivores but they will eat plants if necessary (or curious).

  • lol after seeing this video i only have one thing to say...

CAN I PLEASE COME VACUUM YOUR CARPET FOR YOU ! =)

  • I have a devon rex, he's almost as cute as your cats :)

anyway I talk to him a lot and he's become quite intelligent and has a strong personality

  • Only on YouTube can a video of two cute cats turn into an internet argument over how cats make a person psychotic ... amazing.

  • you probably don't have a favourite, but I like the smaller grey one better.

  • Awwe, bengal cats ftw.

  • He loves yea, You know?

  • /watch?v=NyDTypW95wo

  • We dont need it

  • Amazing all this game, for something which can be fixed in a matter of days and hours. Just amazing. I will leave this account open long enough for you to read the PM

  • I always wanted to get a cat. I hear they bring positive energy and good luck.

  • Oh yeah, what synthesizer are you using to make that music?

  • Heh, the beginning beat reminds me of a NIN song.

  • KITI KITI KITI KITI KITI !!!

    HEART!

  • Nice channel

  • they look like babies. they're just restless, teething, acting like they're in the wild because of evolutionary development.

  • That's true, they are also extremely intelligent even more so than the siamese it's said. They also like water, unlike many of their cousin cats

  • grow claws, join in... :-)

  • Buonasera, signora existentialist-cat...

About consciousness, parallel dimensions and other philosofic questions... are those the Schrödinger's cats?

    ;-)

If yes...this video is very, very

    funny-ontologic...

    :-))

    ciao,

    Salvatore

  • That's what you get for having Bengals. My sister and her boyfriend have three, and they team up to enter cupboards to steal treats, steal food, knock things over - it's hilarious.

  • Wow ..cat with spots . brilliant !

  • Cute little shit heads :>

Are you gonna train em to use the toilet?

  • funny Eckhart Tolle the Buddhist philosopher and Oprah guest talks about animals as way of living in the "now" have you read his books? Buddhist lite with a touch of philosophy. Love ya!

  • they're so pretty!

  • Those leopard spots are rare... What breed are those?

  • Be careful. This may be the start of your transformation into the crazy cat lady.

  • LOLL near the end(L)

  • I miss my cat.

He wasn't crazy, but very affectionate and expressive and loved to talk.

  • I like cats, however I disagree with people who think they are smarter than dogs. hey don't do tricks because they are too dumb to, not because they are smart enough to know better. Dogs rules, except for the pooping and peeing anywhere they like, and having to walk them, that I don't like. Cat's at least use a litter box. Don't make them smarter though ;)

  • @KenseiSL

cats don't do tricks because they are not pack animals. Dogs do tricks to please the alpha male or alpha female. Cats may or may not be more intelligent, but tricks have very little relevance to their intelligence.

  • That's true, but they can still learn small tricks. The little one in the video can "sit" on command because I taught her with treats, and it took about about an hour to learn. Haven't taught her anything else tho :)

  • I hate cats and people that own cats.

  • I've always said that I don't trust people who claim to be elusively a "cat person" or exclusively a "dog person" because my intuition demands that that sort of mentality often reflects their general treatment of people. It demonstrates an "us verses them" view that often substitutes actually learning specifics about each person as an individual with biased hate.

Thank you for supporting my hypothesis by providing persuasive & direct, albeit disturbing, evidence for my aforementioned hunch.

  • Maybe you'd have a point if I owned a dog, moron.

  • Maybe you'd have a point if anything I said depended on whether or not you own a pet of any kind.

But lets be honest, I really don't need any sort of inductive model at all to tell you're a bigoted dipshit. With comments like that, you might as well carry around a neon sign flashing the words "insecure bigoted prick" and an arrow pointing down at your hate addled brain pan.

  • People that own cats are weirdos especially multiple cats, it's an observation. Like you, you're a queer.

  • cats are a highly evolved species. it may true that SOME cat owners can be weird from the stereotype of the "crazy cat lady", but if you think that's true of all of them then you are a very narrow minded fuck. all animals are interesting for different reasons.

  • "Highly evolved species," listen to yourself, moron.

  • I should have said their evolution has made them a very adaptive species with excellent survival instincts and skills.

  • @eyeammi

Aren't you, by automatically distrusting a person claiming one way or the other, in effect, guilty of the same sort of prejudice which you feel those people are guilty of?

I like dogs and cats, but I definitely prefer cats. They are more independant, they don't try to lick my face everytime I see them, and they don't demand as much of my attention. I just like them better, and would probably call myself a "cat person" because of that. I don't see the harm in having a preference.

  • Beautiful animals!

  • You know you love it.

  • Their eyes look demonic.

  • I apologize if I sad something out out of line the other night.

    Too many beers. Sincerely, Jimj.

  • Anybody with two cool cats, (and with at least one of them crazy) gets 5 stars.

  • are those cats on something ? ...music is trippy i like it

  • You need one more!

  • 1:30 "oh i KNOW you ain't try staring ME down, little kid- this is MY castle!"

  • Hmmm...exixtentialist-kittens! :D

  • Do your cats make too much noise?

  • Ratatat rocks. "Seventeen Years" is a good song. Cute cats.

  • animals are medicinal. there awsome.

  • Wow! Just love those beautiful cats!

  • i knew you were hiding something

  • you have a pair of beautiful cats!

  • at 1:40 the cat looks insane, which I like

  • At 0:12 I thought: "Crap! A margay!!"

Funny video! Loved your cats :)

  • What amazing looking cat's. I like their eye's and markings are really cool. Are you going to make any more Sexy for Philosophy video's and I'm big fan of your music video's few of them I save in my Favorite. I think your amazing also.

  • Well cats have different effects on different people.

  • 1.46 ... the eyes!!!

  • haha, good stuff.

i really miss your videos, very interesting stuff, i certainly understand there are lots of dumbasses on youtube though.

  • Oh so great!!! I luv cats!!!!!!

Bengal cats :) they are so beautiful!

And playful too :) they seem still young :)

  • love cats! especially one - behind the camera.

what gods should i pray to hear your new song?

  • i used to have a cat some years ago and its idea of playing was to roll on its back. to make you tink that it wanted its belly tickled and then lock its claws and teeth in the whoever falls for its routine. the niebours used to fall for it everytime and complain. thats what we had to put up with. yours are just playing.

  • hahah, cats are tricky

  • Oh my word! How cute! My next pair of cats is going to be Bengal cats for sure. Such beautiful fur!

Haha I don't think my current kitties liked what I just typed, they're clawing at my door now!

  • That made me smile.

  • :D Hey you should enter your pets in the litter contest (I don't know the real name of it) it is for 1000 bucks so yeah its on youtube :]

  • Oh, . . . should have read your description. Yes, to my question.

  • What an awesome video. Cats playing are fun pasttimes. :-)

    Is that one a Bengal?

  • Comment removed

  • Meow!

  • haha they are all about the sneak attacks!

  • 1:40 is brilliant, that stare is great.

  • Evil Cat Debauchery!

  • So are those cats existentialist cats too? :D

  • I wonder if I was the only who thought for a split second at the beginning that the song was going to be "Closer" by NIN lol

  • I lurv cats... they're sorta like physical incarnations of my ADD with fur. I'd own some if I weren''t allergic.

  • hahaha

  • What song is this ?I like it.

  • ratatat - crips

  • Wow. You repeated the answer to "what song is this" four times in one hour and again just recently. People just don't read, do they?

  • I read quite a few comments, didn't see the answer on the first page, didn't realize there was a second, page of comments no biggie :)

  • thanks! I dig their videos, trippy stuff!

  • How Captain VonHelton and myself will put up with those wild things when you join us on the starship, I don't know.

But bring them anyway. We are going to the stars baby!

  • 1:40 haha just giving the most crazy eyes ever

  • that is so cute...

  • aaarghhh, noooo allergieeeeesssss!

  • brilliant

  • Cute cats!

  • Orh they're really adorable. =) Makes me feel a little bad that my cat doesn't have another cat to play with. Guess he'll just have to make do with me and the other humans in the family. =p

  • A certain relation between "owner" and "pet" is obvious... ;)

  • Don't really enjoy keeping pets.

But we have a number of wild visitors around the house, including the occasional serval.

    Really really beautiful animals.

  • You have cats that act like cats. Exciting.

  • Your cats are so beautiful, they remind me of a wild cheetah's. I use to have three cats a few years ago and I really enjoyed having them. Thanks for sharing:)

  • cutee

  • I see that they ignore thier reflections. Are they aware of the fact that it is them in the mirror???

  • Many animals can recognize their reflections quite well, not sure about cats... what they do to test it is paint (well, probably not with real paint, not sure what) a very visible red dot on the animal's forehead right above it's eyes, and if it looks at itself in a mirror for a long time it's because it knows the red dot isn't normally there.

  • Oh yeah, the only animals who recognize themselves are dolphins, asian elephants, chimpanzees and possibly bonobos.

  • So your cats do not? They seem to not take interest in thier reflection.

  • "They seem to not take interest in thier reflection."

At a guess, I would say it might be similar to learned helplessness. If you put a preditory fish in a tank with a removable partition, and fill the other section with it's prey, it will only try to eat them a few times before it learns it can't get by the glass... if you then remove the glass it still won't try to eat the prey animals as they swim around.

  • i think others great apes passed the mirror test,

    /wiki/Mirror_test

and actually magpies passed the mirror test too,

    /watch?v=HRVGA9zxXzk

it's the first time this behaviour was observed in non-mammals

  • This may be rare behavior among cats, but I think it's persuasive evidence that at least my cats recognize their reflection as themselves.

If I stand behind my cats while they look at me through a mirror (They can't see me in their peripheral vision) & I silently wave, they always turn around to look directly at me. This suggests that they see themselves & recognize that my action is occurring behind them. If they did not perceive the image as themselves, what would be the impetus for turning?

  • Facinating...but is Ex Cat correct???

  • And if it tries to rub it off, that's the clincher.

Bit difficult for dolphins, though, with their lttle flippers and all.

  • Hmm yes of course... but if they were TRULY clever they'd find a way. At that point it's really only an excuse.

  • Very cool markings. Look a lot like the African Wild Cat that we get around here. They become quite tame if food is abundant.

Are these bred to regress to the aboriginal type or are they from wild Asian stock?

P.S. You know that you're advertising your loneliness, right?

  • "Ocelots" I think is the word you're looking for.

  • Close. Ocelots being native to the tropical areas of the Americas, and more closely related to leopards and lions.

The "Bengal" nickname here is the giveaway. Therefore Asian. And presumably interbred with domestic cats, so a close relative. (And therefore a close relative of the African wild cat too). My guess is Leopard Cat of tropical Asia. (Not related to leopards, but similar markings.)

Just curious if they're hybrids or throwbacks, basically.

And yeah, I'm a nerd. Who lives in the bush.

  • It may very well be a product of gene splicing......I'm not really sure how it's done.

  • @VonHelton

Pretty sure they do it the old-fashioned way.

Basically, the mommy cat and the daddy cat get married, and then the daddy cat..... um, maybe I should draw you a picture?

    Kitty Love FTW.

If only one could turn the volume down...

  • Oh it's just interbreeding between the house cat and the Asian leopard... the ones that become pets are usually three or four generations removed. Must be pretty cool to have so many wild visitors! I wish I did.

  • Okay, but we want to know about their thoughts on existence. :D

  • Animals are great and these beautiful creatures are a joy to behold. It makes me wonder why anyone would want to eat animal protein. If the tables were turned would you enjoy seeing humans on a rack or sealed in plastic wrap inside of a display cabinet? A breast of human for $3.49 a pound without preservatives. Baby livers, $2.49 a pound on sale at Publix Supermarket!

  • Great video. I love the look in the cat's eyes when it is getting ready to pounce. I'm sharing this with some other cat lovers in my family.

  • AWW I want them soo bad! They really are beautiful cats, I love they're markings.

  • 'This is what I put up with'

    lol you poor thing :)

  • Like a little tiger

  • Comment removed

  • sooooooooooooooooo adorable!!

  • Nice choice going with Ratatat, but you should have used their song Wildcat! So apropos.

    Regardless, they're cute.

  • Wow those are cute cats :)

  • Supakat says: "'Tis be done with bad 2 mediocre cameramaen!"

  • lol, that's pretty funny. looks like you really do have your hands full. :)

  • cute.... for Killers. lol

    beautiful cats, really.

  • I liked it

  • KITTEH!!!!!!!1

  • Are those cats part of the reason for your YouTube name Existentialistcat?

  • I shall never tell which came first, the cats or my name... it is a meaningless question of existence.

  • @existentialistcat .........so your name is based off of your philosophical cats?

are they too busy with string and such, or can I schedule an interview?

  • Come come, everything is meaningless, its our questioning of it which gives it the meaning! Curiousity didn't kill the cat ;)

  • ahaha that was fun, i wish i had cats lol. lets make this video go VIRAL!

  • You put up with those wild beasts ;-) They are so cute.

  • Playful little devils ...

  • yes, but are they existential?

  • so cute

  • Aw, adorable :)

  • is this music... ratatat?

  • Those are adorable cats. Cats can be quite a handful, I have two myself. I had gotten an additional one not long after I made a vid of my first cat Salem. My second one is named Reggie

  • Naaw cute kittens :3

  • wow, those are expensive, aren't they?

  • normally, yeah. but i got both of them from people who couldn't take care of them anymore

  • thanks, yeah they are always bouncing off the walls

  • If that's not the cutest thing. Nice music, too. :)

  • Lol prepare for 20,000 views. Do your cats know how to open your closet?

  • those cats are awesome

  • haha thanks :)

  • Most excellent music, and kitties.

  • Who made this music?

  • It's "crips" by ratatat

  • ratatat - crips
