I really like the open.

This is kind of a weird open. The It's Tuesday night - the news stars now -open start are all very awkward. And the This... is ABC 7 pause is weird as well.

I like the sped up action shots of the cityscape scenes.

All in all, I'm not sure about this open. I understand that the El Paso market is weird, in that it is near 100, yet the city itself has over 600,000.

El Paso County + The Las Cruces Metro area has just about 943,665 people. Markets are measured in TV homes (not per TV), so with 3 people to a home, just about, that's why it's so small. Oh, and by the way, nearby Juarez receives El Paso stations and has 1,440,000 people. Too bad Mexico isn't included in the ratings area.

I like the pause between "this" and "is abc7". It's catchy and dramatic.
