@thsma2009 This show originally premiered in London in 1999 for the live taping for the dvd, they were in London for a long time before making it to Broadway. So the original london cast means, these are the performers in the video by PBS. Over the run of the show from London to New York people were replaced.
@laughingstock133 AH! ok i just was never sure about that one cause anything involving broadway, stage acting, w/e you want to call it was always london cast. but thatnks, i get it now :)
Malaguena is one of my all time favorite songs, no matter how it's performed. It's so sensual and exciting. I especially like Stan Kenton's version and was ecstatic to see how you and your team perform it here. Great job!!
check out my malaguena under my vids section plz, i need some feedback pos or neg on what to improve, since i sort of made it up and mixxing a few songs.
Aah, I love seeing behind-the-scenes stuff like this.
I saw Blast in London, and therer were signs up saying they were recording that night. Then I went to the States on holiday, and one night in the hotel they were showing it on cable! :D
I remember seeing "Blast!" on tv and I was so excited. Seeing marching and on a stage with lighting, effects, and so on. It made me long for my colorguard days. The show was amazing live. I can't wait to see it again.
and so does your ass and your damn attitude. Before you wanna attack someone's opinion get a life and do something else other than looking at youtube videos. I'm not about to fuss with you on a youtube video with your childish ass. Grow up!!! Seriously!!! Make fun all you want because when you respond back to this, I won't be saying nothing else and you'll keep on talking like a little kid that you are!
Malaguena really isn't "the best piece ever made". Get over yourself kid, and please stop making my school look bad. Florida State is a great school, for real musicians at least. You'll fit in quite well with the Marching Chiefs.
That happened two weeks ago and you want to be a child and bring that back up. Fuckin idiot I said MY OPINION, NOT your fuckin brain. Leave me the hell alone because I wasnt even saying shit to you. You just sound dumb as hell to your part.
Y'all's some talented peeps. :D I would love to be half this good some day. I am currently in a high school band with 26...yes...26 winds. One tuba, 6 trumpets (myself included) three mellophones and one alto sax...among others...watching Blast! is an inspiration to any high school player that has any sort of interest in what they are doing...truly amazing...watching you on DVD, I was compelled to clap at the TV, knowing that you couldn't possibly hear me. It's just that good.
Its now 2007 and this is still the finest production I have ever witnessed. The CD is great, but I think it is no longer in press. Raquel, brillant! Simply brillant!!
Dang! I think I actually enjoyed the rehearsal video as much as if not more than the actual performance. Great stuff! Lots of woodshedding behind that level of performance, no doubt.
