  • get a Caswell Harps Sweetharp or Elfin Harp. They are very good quality instruments made in USA. You are doing very well for day three - you might alto check out youtube lessons for beginners - see Chris Caswell's lessons

  • Of course you must work with what is available to you, The harps that come out of Pakistan usually have fishing wire on them not harp strings that means no variation in string thickness and as harps are strung according to the Pythagorean rule you won't get a decent sound from those strings. If you re-strung it with nylon strings meant for a lap harp like a Harpsicle or such you would get a much better sound and yes you should invest in a chromatic tuner. Keep up the good work

  • I do not think it is a poor quality harp, you just need to use a chromatic tuner and you will be set. ^__^

Yes, the harp should be on your lap.

You seem to be comfortable into utilizing your fingers differently, I tend to have them on the string on all fours, and shift but not holding the strings down firmly. However, you play very smoothly.

Just tune the instrument and have it on your lap next time and re-record and you should be sounding good! Goodluck!! ^__^

  • si tu as encore la référence d'achats, sa m'interesse, je suis dans la même situation que toi : pas envie de dépenser 900 boules ( voir plus ) dans une harpe celte

  • You know you're supposed to rest it in your lap, up against your shoulder, right? You will more easily reach the middle of the strings and it will sound a bit better.
