Good Vid 5 stars, I have the same one I have had it for about two years now. mine has a 110volt drop cord without the plug in extension and have it wire nutted inside the sign and the wire coming out of it and plugging in. The only thing is that where the spot for the test button, I put a push on, off switch for the power controls.

It is not negative and positive. It is 'hot' & 'neutral', you are dealing w/ AC not DC.
Black is hot, white is neutral. There is a bigger difference besides the terms.
