  • Why not plug it directly in, stupid.

  • thanks for adjusting the detune knob so we can hear how the osc's sound detuned a bit.

  • I've read that you can use this as a four voice polysynth, is this true?

  • wouldn't it be sad if every synth sounded like a moog. Variety is the spice of life.

  • @alanpitfall - different Moogs don't even sound alike. it would be impossible to create an environment that completely lacked variety.

  • heap of shit get a moog!

  • @Ahbootsybaby - no way, Moogs are shit because they use old outdated technology. you would be better off getting a nice digital synth like a Roland D-10 because you get a wider range of sounds.

  • @dirtyoscs Moogs are shit? Hahaha.

  • @dirtyoscs What on earth is that random nonsense, there isnt a digital synth in existence that sounds as rich as an analogue synth, thats why the price for analogue gear is higher.

Digital synths have their own particular sounds just as FM synths and phase distortion synths have as well. Horses for courses. Would you turn down a Roland TB303 because its full of resistors, transistors, diodes and capacitors on a chunky paxolin one sided PCB instead of ropey samples held on a rom chip?

  • @gordongate - wow, you've never heard of sarcasm before??

  • @gordongate - you know, someone posts a stupid comment like "heap of shit, get a Moog" which in my opinion is the most idiotic subjective generalizing bullshit ever - especially when you consider that Moog didn't just make one model. hence the reason for my sarcasm.

i will tell you though - i would rather own a Yamaha DX-1 then a Moog Polymoog. so there...

  • @dirtyoscs I'd rather have a Polymoog than a DX 1, 5 or 7, Personally I think the DX range was the most user unfriendly synth ever, dont get me wrong I love some of the eerie noises you can make with FM (and PD), but it has its own definate timbre of sound that is easy to identify, I like analogues as you cant distinguish the sounds as to one instrument timbre plus its what I grew up with in the 70's and early 80's, I'm happy with digital control as long as the audio signal path is 100% analogue

  • sounds like garbage, does this guy know what he's doing?

  • @DemonWTF - i have yet to find a decent demo of this synth online...

  • the birds in the end were the best!

  • The bad points about this synth is that it has NO OSC SYNC or PULSE WIDTH controls.

  • @therealKINDLE Fwiw you can get pulse width sounds by setting both VCO to square and LFOing one pitch.

  • @coldhandmurr - how does that work? you set the LFO to modulate the pitch and somehow that modulates the PW? confused...

  • this guy is deaf

  • wow another demo recorded with the camera microphone..sooo faaaat lol

  • This video doesn't do any justice to this synth. I have the Mono Lancet in my studio and it sounds great, not like this crappy demo :-(

  • So should I take that as a no ? I would really love to here it plated with legato and without , Detuned and in tune as well as the PW being modulated by a midi controller

  • The worst demo of a very good synth

  • the lfo just stops before the audio range. why tf? it's an analog synth, come on!

  • You have to be kidding. Why on earth do you move the GLIDE?

The Glide only works when you are playing Legato.

Have you EVER played an analog synth before?

  • @angelus000000 not necessarily ... Try the portamento on MS20

  • @angelus000000 very often glide is simply implemented with a slewrate limiter between pitch-cv and osc-tune. If it's build this way, it does not recognize if you're playing legato or not.

  • Nice sounding gear :) I own a Perfourmer and i can recognize the similar signature.

Nice bird tweeting in the background too !! (ok, kiddin' )

  • Can We Hear it played ?

The demo's on the Vermona's site are sequenced too and I'm just not getting a feel for it like that at all .

  • @DeathByMediaMusic Right.... I mean what? The more time the player spends noodling away the more we hear noodling and the less we hear the synth itsef, i.e the timing of the adsrs, character of the filter and resonance, tone of the oscilators etc.

  • Sweet stuff!

  • Nothing new in their sound. It sounds like the old Vermona Formation. So, I think that for old time;s sake... it is ok!

  • Tof ding Marc!

Komen hele lekkere sounds uit, ik vind hem er ook erg mooi uit zien.
