Is the low whistle much harder than a regular tin whistle?

@Bowserking1 it can be harder to play it quickly, because you're using the middle of your fingers instead of the tips (this is necessary because the holes are further apart). Also it requires more air to sound, especially on the highter octaves. Takes some getting used to, I guess :) I play both tin whistle (D and C) and low D whistle, and I like all of them, for slightly different reasons.

@Awkwardtunity you could try asking if they get Irish tin whistles in, but sadly, I bet if you ask the same stores if they know what a bodhran or uilleann pipes are they'd give you the same look. I've gotten most of my whistles from makers online

Dans plusieurs de ses vidéos il précise que la flûte est jouée par son frère ^^. @StevenFHP I am a metal bassman myself, folk metal being my favorite metal genre, and I got myself one of those very inexpensive tin whistles. It's great fun, you can carry it everywhere and everyone seems to enjoy it, especially around a campfire.

It costs 165 GBP including shipping. This is a professional instrument. If you're a beginner you can start with something more simple. There's plenty low whistles on Ebay starting from $30. They're not that good as Chieftain but should be good enough for your needs.

@kevenharbour That really depends on which sound you you'd like for your whistle. You should go an search for movies on youtube with both brands, or go to a music store and play on both brands.

Overton and Burke are two great brands, so it's just the sound you should look at.
