@MrDeloty Radio music is designed for people to turn on in the middle of a song, and off in the middle of another song, in the car on the way to work. Songs are short, and each radio song has a catchy repetitive hook. They have a chorus that can be learned quickly and sung along with. No matter what genre it is, it's pop: pop-metal, pop-country, pop-rap, pop-rock. They are close enough to the middle that even if you're not a hardcore fan of the genre, you can enjoy the song. This wouldn't do it.
