@ThePoptart28 Well, MST3K's spirit lives on in RiffTracks, where they do all sorts of movies, even big blockbuster ones, and other people are having a go as well and they're pretty good. So I'm not too sad. I see it as the beginning of something awesome. :)

@textthing: It appears they did. I'm guessing they probably thought it was funny so they kept it and just edited it so it would go through commercial sign and just have flame sound effects mute out the rest like it appears in the episode.

BSUGrad, heh, the eyes catching fire wasn't intentional but it worked for them very well. Thanks to Trace staying in character for so long, they were able to use that take in the actual show and it added a lot to the scene.

They just go to the commercial logo while you hear crow screaming to cover up for the people peaking over the desk.

Talk about a fortunate accident.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I seem to remember a clip back from KTMA I think where Servo's head caught fire. I saw it on a blooper once and it was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. I was hoping to see it in this special. But all of it was hilarious.

Actually there have been several episodes where Servo's head explodes (with a big puff of smoke). That is usually caused when Tom over-analyzes the movie. The one that I can remember off the top of my head was the Who is Merrit Stone? skit (just search for that, I can't recall the episode name).
