  • just got done watching this movie. i have never cried so much in my life

  • well sometimes it works, like here it was not the right fit, but I see what they were going for. For example I always felt that Tangerine Dreams score of Legend was better than Goldsmiths, despite loving Goldsmith.

  • how one can only think to reject a Morricone work? ...that s crazy

  • How do you turn down Morricone?

  • Beautiful. It stands on its own.

  • I never the whole last minute replacement thing. Usually the original score was fine as is. -

  • sound like Days of Heaven

  • Wonderful music and film !

  • Deze muziek had nooit mogen worden afgekeurd.

Past zeer bij de film, mag raden wat de achtergrond is geweest.

  • Whoever decided to reject this needs to be punched in the face, several times.

  • @ChevalierAguila I wouldn't punch them, I would hug them. Ennio Morricone's score wasn't for this film.

  • I have no none nothing idea why they rejected ennio's score at all ~ he was brilliant ~

  • @jennally

that shit flick didnt deserve to be graced with the sublime artistry of Mr. Morricone, any way.

  • @StraytRayzorSymphony It's not a shitflick you ass. The music is beautiful and all but it was not suited for this! I

  • @melovetorun no need for name-calling.

  • I don't know why the film scoring trend now is to keep the underscore unobtrusive and in the background and I must say that I would love to see this film with Ennio's "obtrusive" and "overpowering" score instead of Kamen's more subtle one.

  • I haven't seen the movie, but I'm already annoyed that the producers didn't take a risk to use a beautiful non-commercial theme like this.

I can imagine it generating weird emotions in a film. Great stuff

  • A great flick!

  • I agree. I like the final score in context of the movie better. However this score is also quite wonderful, and in the end we have two scores for the price of one movie. Sounds like a good deal to me! :D

  • Damn, that's lovely. I enjoy the Michael Kamen replacement score, but this is just gorgeous.

  • To be honest, I like the final soundtrack better. Especially for the story. This is one of the few instances I can think of where the producers tore something out of the movie at the last minute and it improved the film.

  • i think this fits the movie, damn why is it rejected!? i love it..

  • Aaah damn. I wish they hadn't rejected this song. I know alot of people say it wouldn't have fit, but I think it would fit very well. It has the sting of sorrow with the midevil whimsy, which I think is perfect, really. The whole world they make up for themselves is fantasy like.

  • To be honest, this soundtrack is much deeper than the film itself- perhaps that's why it was rejected.

  • That's just your perception. I myself don't really think so.

I like the song, but I don't believe it is any more deeper than the film. D.R.

  • you are absolutely correct........when the movie was screen tested with this score it was indeed rejected for being "over-powering".............

  • brilliance of morricone !

  • @dilampedusa It says something when the music can overpower the screen play...

  • Very much like his theme to Days of Heaven.

  • Its beautiful but i honestly can't see where this kind of sound would fit anywhere in the movie. It seems to lack the depth and the intensity of the emotions and issues brought up. I guess it all depends on the effect the movie had on you.

  • i totally agree with u. its a great track, just as ennio morricone knows how to do but im listening to it and it doesnt sound very "what dreams may come" to me.

  • I'd agree too. Sounds too medieval for a modern tale.

  • Ok so where did u get this music and where can it be found-bought-dowloaded etc;-)

  • I get all of my music from youtube! all u need is a converter program! :D

  • it's a good thing the got rid of this... but cinema paradiso was heavenly.

  • Superbe film, mais ce n'est pas la meilleure musique de Ennio Morricone...

  • I've never felt this torn over which film score I would have preferred. Ennio Morricone's work here is awe-inspiring in its beauty. Michael Kamen's score was uplifting and extremely moving work. I love them both.

  • What kind of program did you used to create this "video"? It has really good audio quallity...??? Please help...

  • I love this, its so haunting...slightly hopeful. I would love to see the film with this score.

  • I love the music by Michael Kamen as well, but I'm also a fan of Ennio Morricone. I can imagine it and it goes bbeautifully with the movie, but it gives it a whole different atmosphere almost, in a good way.

How did you get this? I would like it too. :)

  • Is there anyway I can hear this whole score?? I love this and would love to hear more. It's a shame that they got rid of Morricone's score, I'm sure it would've went beautifully with the film.
