Are you fucking retarted? First of all its raised in the back because people want their laptop at an angel not flat its hard on the wrists. Second of all that has no effect on ur ps3 unless u drill holes in the bottom. Learn your ps3 intake and exaust of the air flow u just wasted your money. Buy a ps3 fan kit not one for a laptop

I Received My Laptop Notebook Cool Pad w/ 3 Fans Yesterday. I Hooked it Up To A Belkin USB Hub And Placed it Underneath My PS3 Slim And On 2 Homemade Support Blocks (I Used Some UMD Cases That i Never Used And Taped Them Together With Duck Tape). After Running The Laptop Notebook Cool Pad w/ 3 Fans For About 3 Hours, Along With 2 Thermaltake Mobilefan II While Playing The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim. The PS3 Slim Was Actually Cool And Barely Any Warm Air Coming Out The Back of My Ps3 Slim.

Just buy a normal house or office fan and face it at the from of the ps3 so the ps3 sucks in the cold air simple as that.

No need in one of these as it is just cooling the plastic and no cool air is actually going inside your ps3!

dude i checked the bottom of the console, and it was FLAT.

how laptop works is they suck cool air from bottom and blows out hot air on the side.

i think the ps3 sucks cool air from the outside but not from below

You can actually get the same cooling effect just by having the PS3 sat vertically. I used to have a laptop cooling pad on mine as the bottom would seem warm. With the PS3 vertically it's just as cool as horizontally with the cooling pad, only quieter :D

i really don't see the point in these all the fans are doing is making the plastic cool. If you have ever taken your ps3 apart you will see that the actual fan inside of the ps3 is at the bottom. so that cooling pad isn't actually doing anything apart from making the plastic cold as I said

@shane1694 i have done a test, a continuous hour with just the ps3 fan on, no movement on the screen and the air is quite warm, i then waited an nother hour and then putting th fan underneath, the air is a lot cooler after the hour, it does work tbh and i do know the fan is at the bottom as i have opened numerous amounts of ps3's, it still makes the ps3 cooler then before.

jus bought it!its great silly last question if you dont mind!i see some one else jus answered it but want to double check,when u place the ps slim on top which way is it best to face?!face down do blows hot air up the way from the back,or the other way so blows the air down from the back?

@adeellime hi, i would only buy it if there is another means of powering it, because if you do plug it into the ps3 it just makes the ps3 a lot hotter! so what i have done is plug the usb into the back of my tv, and to be honest with you, the air is a lot cooler then it was before, i mean ALOT cooler. So i would only recommend this if you have another power source for the usb, thanks

@adeellime no they dont, they blow cool air to the bottom off the console because were it is blowing the air is were the heeting point is, thats were all that heat is produced because thats the location of the cpu and gpu, and tbh if it just blown downwords it would just get hotter, cheers !

the reason y it is higher in the back is that on most laptops and the ps3 the exhaust fan are in the back and since heat rises is cools off faster
