The key thing we need to teach everyone missmaryjennifer is to stay hydrated and slightly alkalined. The Body only needs minerals, essential fatty acids, and enzymes to function properly. Well that and of course plenty of water and to eat healthy. I think your video is great and we want to help as many people as we can. We are having 100% success rate with diabetes. Let me know if you would like to know more about this miracle satchet of ours that you simply add to your bottled water.
i have type one diabetes. does anyone else who has it have a ton of little black dots on the fingers that they prick alot? and do you no how to get rid of them? am im pricking myself wrong?
Ya I have them too, I think it's dried blood? I try to rotate fingers but some just won't bleed. I think these dots are normal though, just gross looking!
missmaryjennifer: I am diabetic since I was 16, I have never tried the insuling pump. I wanted to ask why do you need to compare readings before sleeping with the meter and something else?
It's true, you get sorta immune to it after a while :-) which is a good thing, of course! I was also watching your vid about trying to get a CBGM from your HMO. They can be a real pain to deal with. I had to go outside mine to a private endocrinologist to get properly diagnosed. My HMO docs kept insisting I was a type 2 and eventually had me on nearly lethal doses of metformin, and my folks took me to the private doc, proving your folks are always your folks, no matter how old you are :-)
It can be anywhere... It can depend on food, excercise but can vary between 40 and 400 for no apparent reason. Last night he went to bed at 120, had a 2am check for 179, I gave him a bolus of .4 units, and then he woke at 279. I blame that one on stress due to a bad dream, as he usually wakes up somewhere in the 75-180 range.
Man, I got diagnosed with DT1 when I was 29, I feel for the kids who have it. It's hard enough to manage as an adult. Also, can you tell Nolan that if he pricks the sides of his fingers, it is so, so much less painful than at the tips! Good luck Nolan!

That's showing it like it is! How much disparity do you usually get for the bedtime readings?

I can tell him all sorts of things... LOL he does what he does. He has almost no feelings in his fingers as he is also a drummer with callouses.
