Well this was the first time a collaboration from several organisations namely NUS's Singa Nglaras Gamelan Ensemble, Tedja Timur, Wimba Nareswara and Dermaga Seni Pusaka. Its not easy to coordinate all of their performance in one sitting. They have work very hard to make the 60th anniversary of Tedja Timur "Ngawur" a success.

Yeah, Congratulation! WOW! 60 year old already! Amazing how it survive for such a long time... And how was it, 60 years ago? I wish to make a short documentary on the history... Any volunteers?

I'm very impressed with the standard of performance. We never thought that Javanese culture is still active. My children enjoy watching the performance especially the multimedia coordination and javanese fast/slow, humble, modest, graceful dancing steps. The Wayang kulit white screen could have been placed closer to the audience. Perhaps they can modify it by using OHP and screen placed diagonally above the centre stage. It was an excellent family outing.
