on a diff note, wow..you're quite the traveller..i've never been to phillipines..definitely on my list of must visit places in southeast asia....i hear the islands are beautiful & the people very friendly & apparently, it's quite cheap too....and the added bonus is that most filipinos speak english(so no problem communicating and getting around).

phillipines judging by the accent of the server(behind the food counter) and the easiness with which she speaks english....it's rare to find a food server/seller that speaks english in china or japan..most filipinos (like fellow southeast asians such as ppl from singapore and malaysia) can speak english quite well..i've noticed that..also the jeepney looking commuter van was another clue for me.
