My friends tell me that the loops really aren't that bad on the ride, they just don't recommend getting on if you can't keep control of your neck because it jerks you a lot? Diamondback is awesome, but is Vortex better?

This ride is a big disappointment. The coaster takes you all the way to the top and you expect to be dropped 180 degrees instead it goes straight and turns right and then drops you. Way to kill the suspense. This ride is an epic fail. Maverick at Cedar Point much better ride.

I apologize if I come off as a "smart ass", but isn't 90 degrees straight down? Look at Youtube video entilted "Busch Gardens Griffon Roller Coaster 90 Degree Drop". It's straight down...not flips you upside down... A degree isn't necessarily one direction. You can go 180 degrees north to south or east to west. Look at the Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point. It launches you to the top and then you spiral 180 degrees down ward to the finish line.

I don't get why parks don't bother putting in nice soft head restraints because if they know you're going to bang your head of it, why make it rock solid. And even though I haven't ridden this, I know you haven't seen rough until you go on Tornado at M&Ds theme park in Scotland. Even though it is only 80 feet tall, I came out with bruises behind my ears. Even worse than this, guaranteed.

But the weird thing is, it looks smooth from the outside but when you're on it, your head shakes. Minding that, the start of the corkscrew didn't even look smooth. So how does it work when a company builds a coaster, then years later that company goes under? Who then maintains the ride? Or do the companies that build rides not maintain them, is it up to the park to maintain them once they're built?

@mark40511 King Cobra is a good example of this. King Cobra was made by TOGO. After it was built, TOGO went under. I believe Arrow or Vekoma provide TOGO parts, but I'm not sure. But, as we all know, King Cobra was torn down. It is the park's who maintain the rides, but it is up to the company to send the park parts when in need.
