  • Or....save yourself all this hassle, and empty the egg into a cup and bung in the microwave for 30 seconds. Done.

  • or just use a very fresh egg.. it will stick together itself. =_=

  • my golly! mouth watering! (off i go to cook some eggs!)

  • Very poor poaching method. Don't give up the day job.

  • a '''DROP'''

  • Kitchen Paper? It's too wet to go on kitchen paper, and if you're not careful, it'll stick and you'll be eating something the stores have made.

  • Thank you! I finally made my first successful poached egg!

  • An egg on a crumpet? EW!

  • Swirl the water and just use regular vinegar..

  • DON'T STIR THE WATER!!! for all you guys who whirlpool your eggs........just try not doing it! just once! i did :_)

  • WHAT? WE NEED A CRUMPET FOR THIS TOO?

YOU NEVER TOLD US THAT. great i just wasted an egg all because of you.

  • @Nekologic loool :P ur comnt made me laugh ^^

  • EGG ANGRY!!!

  • Great, of all things u put it on a crumpet...here come the sterotypes.

  • not a troll, but egg is not done after 1 min yo

and also you should make a vortex with a spoon

  • so thats what a crumpet is.

  • Stir the water create a whirlpool, drop the egg in the center of the whirlpool. if the egg is room temperature cook for 1,5min, if it's coming from the fridge 2min. Immediately put the egg in ice cold water for about 30seconds. This will prevent the yolk from over cooking!

  • I never immerse the eggs in the water, I always put it in a metal container and pretty much steam it, I do not like the method used in this video.

  • @10Tuxedo What you meant to say here was 'I never have poached eggs, I steam them instead.' Cheers for that.

  • @horrorshowmalchick Thanks professor. ;-)

  • kitchen paper?

  • youve got to be yolking

  • why does everyone watch these videos if you are all such experts on cooking and must critic everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @cleggcb mehbe they want to critique everything xP

  • @cleggcb a very good point, sadly internet has created too much boredom with too much to explore :P

  • D: Your yolk is running! EW!

  • @killab2oo5 YUM

  • One minute? You should poach it for 3 minutes. That shit is raaw.

  • I wanted to know how to poach an egg not ruin christmas

  • add a drop of vineger.. -pours-

  • free range eggs i hope

  • Ive used vinegar and I find it taints the flavour of the poached egg. All I use now is simmering water and nothing else. I dont even stir it, I put my egg in a small ramekin then lower it into the simmering water very slowely and leave for 3 mins. Perfect poached eggs every time

  • Half full, or half empty?

  • EGG ??? ON A CRUMPET !!!! - No No No No. Nice vid though

  • Try stiring the water - a whirlpool effect. This will keep your egg together much better. A neater, easier solution!

  • i make these when i get a cold lol

  • One minute is flat out not long enough, and cider vinegar is far too strong. Just use normal vinegar! It's just an acid to help coagulate the protein, you don't even really need it! Also it's madness not to dump the egg into the centre if swirling water, it turns the egg white back on itself so you dont leave the spiderwebs in the water... Terrible video. Really amateur!

  • @Marchra One minute is good if you like snotty whites.

  • @Marchra I don't know why you got so many likes..you're wrong. I just followed her directions and made a poached egg...and it worked perfectly! Yes, I cooked mine for 2 minutes, other than that, I did everything else she said and it turned out perfectly. I used apple cider vinegar, I didn't swirl the water..and it was perfect..with no spider webs in the water!

  • I know an easier way: got to a farm and steal an egg.(its called poaching) lol lol

  • you really know how to cook with eggs...

  • i don't want to add vinegar.is that okay?

  • @aqilazuhaini1999 I'm pretty sure you don't need it.

  • @aqilazuhaini1999 in that case you should stir the water a bit to create a vortex. that will trap the egg white more or less.

  • @tereitz08 thanks for your information

  • I made this JUST now & IT'S SO DELICIOUS!!! And it was easy too! Just keep your eye on the clock & you're good! The vinegar worked like a charm in keeping the eggs together & added some flavor to the eggs!

The only modification I did was I cooked the eggs about 6 minutes, just until the middle of the yolk was still soft because I personally dont like undercooked eggs. The eggs were fluffy & yummy! I may have to make it again for dinner! It's a good way to cook healthy eggs & it's faster!
