Bach didn't write the Well Tempered Clavier for the Equal Temperament as Demidenko states at 0:15. He wrote it for the Well Temperament. It's right in the title!
I am playing this right now, I have spent so many nights endlessly playing the prelude in a loop, each time discovering something new within it! It is truly a marvelous piece!
An interesting approach - a sensitive, lyrical interpretation of the prelude and then an almost homophonous treatment of the fugue. It wouldn't be my approach but it's very affective here.
not to be the grammar police, but you misspelled 'affective'; its 'effective' in this case. Also Gould might have an approach to this prelude that might suit you.
0:16-0:30... did he actually say that? What an idiot.
