  • 0:16-0:30... did he actually say that? What an idiot.

  • fabulous

  • this introduction is just full of masterly harmonic and counterpoint

  • Bach didn't write the Well Tempered Clavier for the Equal Temperament as Demidenko states at 0:15. He wrote it for the Well Temperament. It's right in the title!

  • @nukepcr You're right. It's a very common misconception.

  • this is nice and refreshing..

oh can anybody tell me what kind of piano that is?

i cant really see it clearly on the front.

    is it "faziou" ? :s

  • @pianomangabe it's Fazioli

  • I am playing this right now, I have spent so many nights endlessly playing the prelude in a loop, each time discovering something new within it! It is truly a marvelous piece!

  • Sensitive performance of this beautiful prelude and the glorious fugue.

  • How many times Bach's music has brought me to tears.... So beautiful.

  • very emotional and he is SO listening to himself....that is rare...

  • Maravilloso, aportes como el tuyo hacen que youtube valga la pena.

    Cesar Amaro

  • Do you know where it was filmed ?

  • An interesting approach - a sensitive, lyrical interpretation of the prelude and then an almost homophonous treatment of the fugue. It wouldn't be my approach but it's very affective here.

  • not to be the grammar police, but you misspelled 'affective'; its 'effective' in this case. Also Gould might have an approach to this prelude that might suit you.
