Hey can you please tell me how diamonds 9.5 sound on their own in stereo mode? I mean without subwoofer. I want to buy them, but im worried that they might not have enough bass.
@TomTomsson I only mentioned putting them higher since surround speakers are meant for ambient sound effects, not to have people speaking though them. Because of this, some ambient effects could become more localizable (guess that's not a word) if not above ear level. You probably already knew that, in my small entertainment room I have the surrounds two or so feet above ear level.
Yeah, I wouldn't personally like having the surrounds that close to my ears either.
@iloveaxxo He said somewhere that he wanted more bass, and that would certainly give it. However, yes, that would be more that he's probably looking to spend. But how should I know how much money he has?
(Stop being a hypocrite, I suppose I'm an idiot for having 162 subs? That's 159 for you to go before you can call me that.)
BTW, I want to buy a carpet similar to yours for my HTPC room, as I hate putting my feet in cold ceramic. I like carpet with long hairs like yours, if not longer.
it seems that type of carpet is called Shag. If you know what I mean, can you please point me in the right direction?
Where can I buy carpet like that, and how much did you pay for yours?
I've been to Walmart and Target, but they don't sell fancy carpet there.
Well, seems like "Shag" is the right english word for that sort of loose floor carpet. Pretty common type of carpet here in Finland. Or should I say rag? Comes in many sizes and colours and prices. Mine was something like 90 euros.
I really don''t have any idea where you could get one in US.
But I also have hard time believing they are so hard to find in there.
Search Shag Rug in Wallmart. Website shows many sorts of.
Very nice setup, I'm a little envious. Buying a HD700x or the HD65 Projector in a couple of weeks, the room I have is smaller than yours but should be great to view films on all the same.

Awesome setup, I first saw your small TV and was all "home theater, really?"
Wouldn't you want your surround speakers about a foot or two higher?

@masteryummy Thanks!
Yes I would like. Not so much higher but more distance. They are little bit too close now.
Thinking of getting pair of small Diamond 9.0's and installing them to those dark brown fence pillars. We'll see.
