  • haha! cool!!

  • Wow man that's a really good idea better than trying to put them off to the side when not using them..good call im going to do this thanks

  • It works great! Got two on the wall by ratting this way. Also i have another rope connected to a few limbs on the ground. fyi for the haters, if your worried about being spotted, hang your stand higher duh.

  • Brilliant!

  • I have been doing this for years, I told my buddies about it and they laughed. But it is me who ALWAYS has the last laugh, because I always get a nice buck or two each year by doing this. They all want to know how I get my bucks each year, I tell em " remember that trick i told you about years ago and you laughed me out of the bar? Ya should of paid attention! its good to come across another hunter with brains, keep rattlin partner!!

  • Looks like two invisible one antlered bucks fighting LOL

  • thats stupid all ur doin is movin like crazy and i a deer comes threw and sees u doing that its gunna run

  • @fishbone1998 Just a simple finger twitch is all that is needed. Much less movement than a typical rattling sequence.

  • @fishbone1998 if a deer sees you period he will run the other way, you smell.

  • Pretty cool! I like the way it hits the ground..very cool. Cant get to aggressive though can you? Unless you have some large antlers

  • very good

  • Looks like jiggen for a buck nice.I think I"m gonna try that.

  • that is such a good idea! and when the antlers hit the leaves it sounds even more real

  • 100% TRUE, first try pulled one in last year. !65 PY on my wall from it.

  • this is an awesome ass idea

  • Good idea but it sounds empty. In order to sound like two bucks, you need to have something anchored to the antlers so they don't sound so hollow. You get the real sound when you are holding them or they are attatched to a buck's head.

  • It looked like those horns were fighting each other. Good idea.

  • How long of cord did you use when you "Y'd" the cord to go to the two sets of horns? 2 feet?

  • Almost 2 feet exactly is what mine measure.

  • @ksbowhunter6 antlers!!!

  • alrite awsome man very good how did u tie them together?

  • Took each end of a bootlace and inserted them into drilled holes in the base of each antler. Then took the center of the string and made a loop to attach a haul rope to.

  • hey great IDEA!!! very good thinking! Keep on loving the outdoors

  • did u see anything that day? looked good

  • Nothing that day, but rattled in a decent 8 pointer the following week in Ohio. Shooter chose to pass it up.

  • hey man, great idea. and yes deer........ somtimes lock horns when their really pissed. but if they can avoid trying to kill each other by maybe " tickin" their antlers together and testing eachother a little bit they will. Hardly ever do deer go on a full blown rage against eachother. makes for not such a loud noise hence making the deer think maybe the sound isn't so close and not being so careful at when approaching. great idea 5 stars !

  • awesome video tried this out for the first time and i got my first buck of the year

  • That is AWESOME! Tell him a big congrats from me.

  • they dont just tickle each others antlers they lock thats why this would not work

  • Worked for me just last week.

  • Sounds like a great idea

  • Dude ...thats the greatest idea ever!

  • the only thing wrong is that when deer fight they lock antlers and this way it wont make thats sound

  • deer don't for the most part lock horns . moron

  • @josh111274 deer don't have horns they're antlers. Goats, antelope and satan have horns.

But I do agree, not every collision is going to lock 'em.

  • @dedb3ar I bet you call the birds on the side of the road that eat roadkill "Buzzards". Buzzards don't live in the states. The birds you see are either Black or Turkey Vultures. However, when people say Buzzard we know what they're talking about.

In the same way, Horns/antlers/rack/rockin' chair . . . we know what people are talking about.

  • I'm not from "the states", here we have neither buzzards nor vultures. The things on the side of the road eating carrion we call americans.

My earlier comment was ment to be light, and informative however this reply to you is not.

Good luck shooting a buck with a nice rockin' chair this year.

  • My response to you was meant to be light and informative as well. I was just letting you know that people use different names in reference to the same thing and that you don't have to call them out like that.

Additionally, there is no need to bash me. Congratulations on successfully using Wikipedia to find out what 'carrion' is. You should be proud.

  • @scotchtapeisthebest we call them turkey buzzards. (shrug)

  • Great idea, especialy in early season when bucks are just sparing. I will certainly try this.

  • Very smart!

  • Thanks for the tip, it's a great idea!

  • what a great idea

  • An interesting concept. I have had good luck ratteling in bucks in the past. I will try this method.

  • its a good idea but the clashing of the antlers does not sound like real deer fighting. bucks come together with a loud crash, then try to push each other back, sometimes stopping to take a breath or back out. this does not have the actual hard hitting when the bucks fight. When bucks fight, they're fighting, to try and kill eachother. even though this rarely happens, bucks get speared all the time. imagine fighting being a buck, would you light clash antlers? or fight like it was your last?

  • Not all buck fights are knock down drag out long lasting fights. It works great for me, so i'll keep doing it. :)

  • SuburbanHunting, i think you need to spend some more time in the woods. although sometimes bucks are trying to kill eachother, more often than not they just spar. i see it all the time where two bucks just kind of walk past eachother, turn and spar for maybe 15 seconds. i have seen when the bucks are trying to kill eachother but this guys is very accurate with his calling.

  • Thanks I'll have to you use this I idea.

  • this is a brilliant idea thank you guys alot

  • thats a good idea

  • awesome idea it sounds like the real thing with the leaves too all u need to do is put some grunts and snort weezes in ur call and its perfect!! wont they see the antlers shakin around though??

  • Not usually in the heavy ground cover.

  • thanx

  • Good thinking! Check out my rattled in whitetail on my channel

  • great idea -- good videos

  • Ya I agree very good idea. Im kinda suprised we dont see more of this. It also makes the ground noise on the leaves or twigs that alot of people attempt to make when rattling on the ground

  • How's it work? im kinda curious

  • VERY GOOD.

  • I read about that in the 80's I have never tryed it. I will be. keeps the movement away from you. And the deer are looking at the ground looking for the noise. Not up in the tree thinking "Now how did them bucks get up there."

  • ....Dude, great idea!!!.....BUT, did it work, or has it in the past???....Not to mention you don't have to move nearly as much!!!...Please comment!!

  • I rigged a set up for a friend I was videoing last week and while filming he rattled in an 8 point. Wasn't quite a shooter, but it worked nonetheless.

    You've got to try it!

  • Great Idea!

  • great idea

  • Thats a pretty good idea!! I don't really use rattling antlers anyway, but if i did i would probably do that if i could get it to work right =]
