  • oi scott i dare you to fuck off. if ads had no impact on consumers why would companies make them? obviously everyone whos commented here other than you enjoyed it, and will probably be more inclined to buy this ice cream rather than any other brand if the situation arose. companies make more creative and attention-grabbing ads like this so that people remember the ad and hence remember the product.

  • Um... This is just an advertisement. Why is it amazing? It's composed of a video shoot, scripted, cast, shot, produced and post-produced, delivered to broadcast, and eventually to interactive, and ultimately here, to a site like YouTube.

  • You see this sort of thing every day. Ad companies get paid to be "creative" an an attempt to stir up a buzz about a product. They incorporate elements of what you (the "demographic", based on their research and analysis) will think is cool, hip, funny, etc....

  • (post 1 of 2) The client has its input, and by the time the idea is watered down with everyone's input (everyone likes their 2 cents in the creative process, right?), it's just another uninspired bit of eye candy that further numbs you to real issues such as politics and world events. Art is art, and the world needs to focus more on that. Advertising is never art.
