studio version was 45rpm the other side was printed by mistake as 45rpm but before sending them to the shops they stamped 33rpm over the 45rpm i have the single, the b side was rarely played on the radio,so you had suffer the studio version, i always play the live version cos it better,it was to long for the radio play list so it was played rarely and at night.
I agree, I don't know whether Alvin's ego kept the organist in check or he just wasn't into solo putting himself out front! On the Woodstock recording, he might as well not even be there!
What an underrated band! Not by me anyways. Alvin Lee is one of the best guitarists ever! I love this concert, & they do Spoonful awesome! Hey, that's Bill Graham announcing them.
@amstell13 You are absolutely right, this was released as a single in the UK if my memory serves me well and it is Bill Graham announcing it was recorded live at his Fillmore Esat, cant remember the year though think it was aroun 1969/1970.
@caslox 1970,I was there :) Tommy Bolin's band Zeptyr opened<i didn't know who he was at the time. They did a few songs from the soon to be released Cricklewood green album that night. I got to know Alvin, and it's sad to see a talent like that destroyed by drugs and bad handllers.
This song and Help Me are my two favorite TYA songs. Awesome, awesome band.
