I think most Cockatiel lovers would agree that there is just something about cockatiels that make you fall in love with them more so than any other kind of parrot. I don't know what it is about them. I've had a lot of different types species of parrots and my favorite always has been and always will be the cockatiel. Not that I don't like other parrots, but if you are a tiel lover you know what I mean.

@BlackWolfRose I'm thinking it's only a different coloration; it doesn't necessarily mean it is a "he" or a "she" depending on the cheeks. I have a Cockatiel who is a female, and she has orange cheeks. She laid 11 eggs recently. ^_^

@BlackWolfRose You cannot tell the sex by color or markings on the bird. Cockatiels are very hard to sex. Aviary vets even have a hard time telling males from females. Especially the Latino Cockatiel (The yellow ones with orange cheeks). They have to be DNA sexed to find their sex.
