it all started in japan by a company called ''Takara'' there was a man that invented the car/robot toy concept. known as the ''Micromen'' and ''Dioclone''

Hasbro bought the rights to sell these toys in the west.

in the West Marvel Comics writer Bob Budiansky created the story, character names, powers, weaknesses. etc.

he worked on the toyline's story and the comic book.

(2) Sunbow -that made the tv show- was also part of the Marvel family.

so Takara created the toys, Marvel the Transformers name and storyline, and Hasbro sells the toys in the west.

oh they make toys themselves, witch killed the TFs in the 80s...and again in the 90s.

all the great stuff comes from japan.

off course Hasbro doesn't credit Takara or Budiansky,

if only the TFs would go back to the Marvel family where they belong.

Hasbro is just a toy seller. Marvel has writers.
