Sounds noisy. Call it the "Sterling Racket Ball Rocker" to sedate anyone having trouble falling asleep.

thanks for responding soquickly, it's encouraged me to ask another silly question that is somewhat unrelated to your marble machine.
does anyone know the optimum ratio of displacement between two pistons on stirling engine
nielset 1 year ago
@nielset 7.5 to 1 for a high temperature engine, 55 to 1 for a low temperature engine. but this can vary quite a bit either way for each.

what is the gear ratio on the flywheel?
thanx!
@nielset 4 to 1 ration if I remember correctly.
Very interesting. I don't understand how it works though?

@magnum9987 It's your basic Stirling engine principle of a displacer (marbles) moving air from a hot side to a cold side, the resulting expansion and contraction of the air inside drives the piston.
I'm in love with this engine.
Everything about it is beautifull
Are you the builder of it,and is there a way to get the drawings and answers to various questions on building such an engine.

@airlui I am the builder, sorry I don't have plans
