I was a kid when Nelson-Reilly was popular and didn't know about "alternative lifestyles." I thought it was schtick. Looking back, he had a lot of courage to portray an image that would piss some people off. I understand that the and Paul Lynde didn't give-a-shit what people thought. Good for them!!!

I remember this commercial from my childhood in the 1970s. It played quite often, and I liked the commercial even though I never got my hands on the product. An added bonus was the fact that Charles Nelson Reilly was in this commercial because he was one of my favorite comedy character actors. At the time it seemed as if he was all over the place on tv. Commercials, tv shows, etc., but most memorably in syndicated reruns of the classic tv show The Ghost and Mrs Muir
