  • If the airlines want to get petty and charge extra for certain seats in economy, they better be prepared to give a discount for crappy seats in economy as well, like the non-reclining seats in the last row. They can't have it both ways.

  • I sat way in the back & I could not even place my legs in a foward position so luckily I had the entire row to my self so I placed my legs on the seats. The flight attendents felt sorry for me from now on its big front seat or nothing

  • You didn't know that, I forgive you.

DO NOT EVER FLY SPIRIT AIRLINES.

  • that's one thing I HATED WAS THE TIGHT SEATS NO LEG ROOM WHAT SO EVER. Plus the cabin was not very clean I mean the seat was sticky, crayon everywhere from some kid.... I would not fly this airline again...

  • It's not spirit's fault, it's the company that makes the plane!

  • @boeingdude1 - Ah. No. it is Spirit's fault. They chose the couch-works company that would finish the inside of the aircraft. All aircraft are delivered as empty hulls. Spirit had final say on how these aircraft would be finished on the interior. At 6'3" myself, I know and care.

  • @boeingdude1 but they have the option to change them

  • @airbus91 Oh okay.

  • I wonder why I never thought of that... Oh, probably because I don't have a billion dollars. If I did, why would I fly Spirit? I learned on this flight, it is the airline of choice for low class individuals such as yourself.

  • If you're so smart, why don't you start a competing airline?

  • Get a life mate.

  • true my friend.

  • that's why i chose first class seats

  • @757Pilot100 Because you were given them for free for being a pilot? Looks like you missed the point that "First Class" on Spirit is an oxy-moron.

  • @jagoodie007 I am not a pilot, anyways tommorow will be my first time flying on spirit.

  • @jagoodie007 correct, economy class on spirit is the equivalent to delta's cargo class, and the 'big front seats' are the equivalent to front seats on a model T

  • The seat was designed with a 32" pitch in mind but to maximize revenue the airline squuzed the seats down to about 28" pitch.

  • Hmmm. Dummies like me that work for SPIRIT. I am not an employee of any airline. So I guess your the dummy for your assumption. After hearing your whiney ass complaining, I am not surprised. Good luck.

  • Wow. Maybe SPIRIT can hire you as a consultant when making seats.

  • @DMZweber: That would be great - I'd love to. Though, the POINT of this video is that I paid EXTRA for a NON exit row because "Spirit" Airlines SCAMMED me. It's dummies like you that work for Spirit and decide to call this an exit row because you can see the exit from the seat. The non-idiots that work for other airlines know that customers only want to pay for exit row when they actually have extra leg room.

    Thanks for playing.

  • @jagoodie007 never pay extra 4 anything. its a rip off.

  • It's a low-cost carrier, of course they're not comfortable. And anyways, you're just tall.

  • Spirit Airlines is no bargain considering how they treat customers like shit. Charging for a small carry on bag is pure greed and they lie about that. I will not book this trailer trash airline. Thanks for posting this! PS- I can imagine the type of pilot this airline attracts!

  • @ZarahLean I could not agree with more. I have just donated one hundred and sixty dollars to spirit air lines. I cannot envision a company being allowed to steal peoples money and get away with it. I could not make the flight as booked because of an emergency and they refused to give me credit for a future flight. I say boycott spirit air. I am sure there are many more being ripped off. I will fly spirit no more. gypsyvan

  • If you want more leg room you need to purchase BIGFRONT seats. Thats a REAL upgrade. Not 'exit row'...

  • I agree 100% there seating is horribly crunched!

  • They now charge for carry on bags, for the bags going in the over head bins....

  • Too cheap to get first class?

  • First class on Spirit is an oxy-moron. Unlike you, you're just a moron.

  • Obviously, you're the kind of passengers that the flight crew target as an inexperienced traveler that should be on a GreyHound bus rather than an airline!

Next time you save your money for a cheap flight, take the guetto-bus please!

Your comments about Spirit are negligable, for they must be doing something right, for they are the only ones making money from those "seats" that you dislike! As I said, the Guetto Bus is your speed!

  • @jagoodie007 no their first class is actually good look u the Big Front Seats no its not and your just feakishly tall

  • @jagoodie007 Its like with spirit you buy it one time and you go through the pain and agony that spirit airlines gives you and then you can never fly it again

  • @davidsholem Its called saving money

  • To his respect, I work for Spirit, and I do believe this problem has been addressed through out our system. You flew on one of our newly reconfigured A321's, which the row you sat in was supose to be an exit row but ended up not being. We appoligize for being a small airline and not having the problem addressed sooner, however we hope you fly with us again. True "exit rows" are marked as such online now, and we look foward to having your business once again.

  • Also we are getting BRAND NEW SEATS! They have a "built in recline" instead of the push button recline as most seats do. Sounds like a gimmic but they are actually very nice seats which really do feel more "reclined" than our current seats do, even though they have a fixed back. Also that seat back pocket is GONE! only a small net to hold the saftey card is there now. Should make for a nicer flight. ENJOY!

  • @FlyBoy0024

may I know from which seat manufacturer you will buy new seats with fix recline? thanks.

  • That is not a window exit...if it was you would be able to see the exit sign just above the window and the plug door cutout in the side trim.

  • Everyone seems to be missing the point. I KNEW what I was getting into (Spirit crams their planes) so that is why I paid EXTRA for an exit row seat. My complaint is that 1. There was no extra leg room in said seat and 2. It wasn't even the exit row!

  • Its' an exit row. Only on the airbus 319 only the window seat has extra leg room, notice the person next to you Just like how its the same on the Boeing 737-700. While you did get screwed, technically its an exit row, but they should only charge for the window seat.

  • now im going to be using spirit airlines sooon how do i upgrade my seat do i ask to sit by exit? or do i buy big front seat?

  • seriously, fly a different airline that actually cares about their customers. I am not sure how you avoid their "exit row" scam.

  • "exit row" scam?! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! dude how many times will people have to tell you... YOU'RE ABOVE AVERAGE HEIGHT! YOU'RE NOT NORMAL!! so don't expect an ULTRA LOW COST CARRIER to cater to your NOT NORMAL NEEDS!

  • ...it isn't the airlines fault the seats are that way it's airbuses...and quite frankly i haven't flown on an airbus ever in my life so if you wanna stop flying airbus aircraft that cuts out about hlaf of the airlines in the U.S.

  • So, should I pay more or less for that? On one hand, you could say that I should pay more, because I only had to suffer for the 2 hours that it was. On the other hand you could say that I should pay less for the "upgrade" to "exit row".

  • Noo is funny out of anyone here i know those aircrafts exit rows in a A319 have lots of space room, they are smaller on the A231 but u r above average tall.. Sorry u paid when other passengers come early to the ticket counter and get the seats early. since u r tall u got to stick to an aircraft/ airline with more space room. If u ever see a cheap ticket and u r tempted to but it but a big front seat in row one u MGHT be ok, once more sorry u were not confy

  • Wasnt this a short flight anyways?like an hour?

  • really? try sitting on row 26.

  • lol right

  • What people don't seem to realize is that the seats I PAID for actually had less leg room than the "standard" seats. It's like paying to get kicked in the pants - makes no sense.

  • by the way... yes you "PAID" for an exit row.. and THATS what you got. ALSO, Spirit offers BIG front seats... why didn't you purchase them if you know you're above average height.?

  • my dad is 6'5 and my mom is 6' and they both have problems sitting... i just realized but im screwed when i'm older.haha

  • I'm 6' 4" too! Are you sure you wouldn't be as uncomfortable in any other airline's seat? Spirit is cheap, and I don't think they purposefully change the aircraft designer's seats just so you can feel more uncomfortable.

  • yeah U are very tall Im 5'1 and I fit nicely I feel sorry did u at least had an emergency seat? and if not then next time u travel with any airlines buy a seat on the emergency they are much bigger lots of leg room but for u idk ;P

  • Yeah, here is the trick: I PAID for an exit row seat, and the seat was worse than a normally priced seat!

  • Well at least u flew in a A321 (Is a bigger plane) and yeah Emergency seats might not reclined Im really sorry about your experience....I work for spirit and I have passengers that hate the company other that love it but I love what I do, sorry but I bet you had fun in Cancun and it was worth it....lol

  • your 6'4" why are you complaning?!!! lol
